Entry Portal, Entry Vestibule, & Signage – IMAX Auditorium #15

  • Wall patching visible above recessed wood base Action: Sand and paint, provide level 5 finish on all walls in portal per J9/A513

  • Action: Touchup paint needed at topright corner of door frame

  • Action: Paint unfinished recessed wood base, rightinsidefront of portal

  • ½” gypsum reveal between white walls and DI metal frame missing

  • 8. Poor paint transitions visible in light alcoves and ceiling light slot. Action: touchup paint as needed. Ensure correct paint, sheen, and color is used

  • Mitered corners of DI metal frame have gaps indicating frame installation is not square Slot lighting is visible through gaps Action: GC to confirm floor was leveled per A13/A510 and work with DI to determine how gaps in mitered corners may be corrected

  • Old can light locations in soffit above entry portal signage are not yet patched

  • “AMC” channel letters not illuminated at time of observation, and sign standoffs (or tape?) is visible from a distance

  • Approximately 12” of ceiling slot lighting, each side, is missing or not illuminated at time of observation. Action: GC to coordinate installation/fix with DI as needed

  • Existing floor tile is chipped in places at transition to new carpet, likely cause during demolitionconstruction

  • Throughout entry portal, vestibule, and corridor, new recessed LED can lights have white trim and should be black per note 2 in fixture legend on sheet E6. Action: Provide black trim rings

  • Action: Coordinate the cleaning/fix of any scuffs on DI metal entry portal frame with manufacturer in order that damage does not occur during cleaning

  • Action: ensure black entry portal floor carpet extends into light coves of DI metal frame per J1/A512

  • Action: Confirm/ensure IMAX ‘busstop’ poster case is installed per A280, two locations

  • Action: Install tensabarrier at inside of entry doors per A13/A510

Auditorium

  • Construction dust remains throughout space on floors and wall finishes, on faces and in corners and crevasses, especially around port windows. Action: Complete final clean as needed

  • Action: Touchup visible marred gypsum wall surfaces behind seats, etc

  • Action: Remove glue/adhesive from walls, floors, nosings throughout auditorium:

  • Head above auditorium entry opening

  • Floor/carpet base under projection window

  • Walls behind seats C1, G6, G11

  • Walls in front of seats A16, E19, G2

  • Wall at cross aisle stairs facing entry opening (2 locations)

  • Walls near Irwin seat control box

  • Floor at Row G landing, screenleft

Carpet Base:

  • 12” tall carpet base is installed where wallmounted lighting is installed at 16” AFF

  • No carpet base installed at front and side face of screen platform

  • c. Carpet base cut at Row A steps for aisle light raceway, both sides of auditorium, but none installed. Action: patch/replace carpet base

  • Action: Correct ripple in carpet base in front of seat F4

  • Wall Covering (PWC1):

  • Action: remove visible staples behind seat C1 and front face of stair knee wall next to seat F1

  • Action: Patch wall covering at visible, unfinished wall at angled buildout near Irwin seat control box

  • Action: Install trim strip at bottom of wall covering behind seats B11 to B16

Wood wall caps:

  • Action: ensure all wood caps have 2 coats of specified paint, notably at side faces and overhang of wood cap

  • Gap found between wood cap and blocking of sloped aisle stair knee walls

  • Action: Fill, sand, and refinish unfilled cap joints found behind seat G17 for example. Touchup paint at cap damage caused by construction activities

  • Action: Touchup paint at metal exit door and frame as needed

General

  • Found stain on arm of seat H10

  • Action: Patch or otherwise conceal exposed floor surface with carpet between stair tread and sloped wall, 3rd or 4th tread above cross aisle, seatside of stairs

  • Tempo floormounted and stairmounted lighting strips and raceways:

  • Action: Completely clean black paint, adhesive and, construction dust from stairmounted lighting strips and raceways

  • Action: GC to confirm AMC has adjusted lighting levels to code minimum as needed

  • Wheelchair location numbers not installed

  • Wall mounted Htype lights on front end of aisle stair knee walls at cross aisle installed but not powered/illuminated on front

  • HLS light above/near entry opening into auditorium appears to be brighter than all others

  • HLS lights over aisle Row B aisle stairs, both sides of auditorium, minimally shine on side walls. Action: Fox to confirm locationaiming is optimized

  • Fabricwrapped acoustical wall panels:

  • Marred acoustical wall panel at screenleft side wall above landing of row D

  • Action: Install acoustical panel over screen deliver access panel

  • Action: Install missing thermostat at jbox between rows F&G, screen right – slit in wall panel fabric

  • Jbox(s) for tuning mics visible

  • Fire alarm/strobe device not reinstalled above exit door per E2

  • Convenience power outlets missing at (3) locations

  • As constructed, screen platform edge does not extend 3” beyond face of screen as detailed in M13/A620 which creates fall hazard

  • Action: confirm all ceiling tiles are correctly seated in grid, typical of two locations – left side wall above cross aisle and behind rearleft speaker

  • Action: Install missing ceiling tiles and/or tiles cut too small

  • Observed only 2 of 4 angled safety cables at frontleft pocketed speaker

Behind screen/screen frame:

  • Action: Remove stored materials and tools

  • 3 of 4 subs installed

  • Action: Install acoustical batt insulation at exposed/bare walls. Install total 4” at front wall, 2” at side walls per note on A210, A1/A230

  • Action: Anchor screen shaker equipment rack, similar to audio rack, per 4/S0.11

  • Action: Remove unused stored materials, equipment, and paint masking

  • Action: Close and secure all open junction boxes

  • Audio racks not anchored at time of observation
