  • Provide and give notice to owners/tenants.

  • Provide all necessary and appropriate screens, drop sheets and protective barriers, arrange for temporary storage of plants in tubs; located as agreed in individual courtyard areas/off site, supply temporary bags for collection of planter soil; to be stored adjacent to excavation or as agreed with home owners/tenants.

  • Excavate planters; store planter soil in temporary bags for reuse. Clean out planters in preparation for repair.

  • Grind existing substrate to open pores and allow for sufficient adhesion for when applying waterproof membrane, substrate must be clean, smooth, dry and free from dust or contaminants, all sharp points and loose materials to be removed.

  • TREMproof 200EC Epoxy Primer to be applied to relevant and manufacturers standards and application guide as per product data sheet & AS 4654.2-2012. Allow 8 hours to cure.

  • Caulking fillet reinforcing vertical & horizontal joints installed at AS standard 12mm cove and to all penetrations within the planter box per as manufacturers product data sheet.

  • TREMproof 250GC Bitumen membrane with anti root additive to be installed to the correct micron thickness and as per manufacturers product data sheet AS 4654.2-2012 (Thickness test to be conducted by means of a wet film thickness). Allow 24 hours to cure before any further works commence.

  • If there are no falls/drainage in planter boxes, install appropriate drainage by means of spitters/floor wastes, install sand cement bed with falls to the drainage and re-waterproof above sand cement bed lapping on to previously applied membrane.

  • Install protection board, drainage cell and geo-fabric in planter boxes.

  • Reinstate planter soil, reinstate existing plant vegetation removed temporarily; all to match original planting arrangement. Plants unable to survive the remediation process to be replaced.

  • Supply and install approved elastomeric membrane to planter walls above the termination of the planter membrane; all in accordance with manufacturer recommendations. <br>Extend elastomeric membrane from reglet up and over planter walls and terminate at the other side at the tiling level. To the base of the planter wall at the external surface, angle grind a 10mm depth groove into the grouting art the perimeter of the tiling. Extend membrane into this groove and fill with an approved good quality elastomeric sealant (effectively creating a perimeter movement joint to the tiling).

  • Remove protection and leave site clean, neat and tidy. Arrange for final inspection.
