Contract Of Quotation.

  • Dear client,

  • We are grateful in having the opportunity to submit our quotation for the delivery, erection, hire, dismantle and clearing away upon completion all necessary materials associated with the works package listed.

  • This quotation is subject to our Terms and Conditions of safety and any relevant site clauses shown under scaffold design.

  • Each item included in this quote is shown overleaf within the summary of contract. If there is any item missing from this summary then please contact us as this has not been included within the quote, also if there is something added to the quote that is not needed please contact us so it can be removed prior to starting works.

  • As you read on through the quotation you will see that each item listed within the table of summary of contract is later summarised in more detail explaining its location, lift heights use and purpose throughout the hire period.

  • Further small works adaptations outside of the summary of contract or waiting time due to unforeseen hold ups are charged at a sum of £35.00+VAT per hour per man. The charges are issued to site via a variation form that is to be filled in and issued to management on site who must read, understand and sign this form before any works are undertaken, you are issued a copy of this form for your records.

  • When the original schedule of scaffold time is agreed this does not allow for nor include any additional works or waiting times that may cause the schedule to over run. Pole2Pole Scaffolding can not be held responsible for the demand of additional works taking priority over scheduled works that may cause the scaffolding schedule period to over run. Also please pay attention to the dismantle schedule as any additional works added will also add additional dismantle time to the overall project that could result in us not meeting set goals. We find that communication is the key for this area so as there is no confusion about schedules or over running projects.

  • We hope that our offer meets your needs and we look forward to working alongside you to complete this project safely and within the scheduled time. Should our offer be successful, we confirm our commitment to ensure the works are completed to a mutual satisfaction.

  • The scaffold you have hired will be built in accordance to either the supplied Engineers scaffold drawing or NASC TG20:21. Each scaffold built is specifically designed providing a detailed drawing showing key areas of safety and strength of the scaffold. The scaffold will be tied in accordance to the above two designs and with accordance to TG4:15. When the scaffold in handed over upon completion it undergoes an inspection this include all the Technical Guidance areas only when it passes these areas will it be handed over. During the weekly inspections the scaffold will undergo the same scrutineering as before, this will be recorded and a scaffold tag will be issued for inspection of the user to determine if the scaffold is fit for use.

  • You are reminded of your statutory obligation as the user of any scaffold supplied that it is your duty to ensure the scaffold is fit for use each day before works are carried out. Although you do not have to use Pole2Pole Scaffolding for the weekly inspections this must be arranged and undertaken by competent persons every 7 days prior to the initial handover. We must stress that failure of scaffold due to the removal or adoptions of scaffold ties, tubes or boards are down to the client and Pole2Pole Scaffolding can not be held responsible.   • All prices are plus VAT and our PAYMENT TERMS ARE A MAXIMUM OF 30 DAYS FROM INVOICE, failure to pay within the allotted time could generate additional penalty costs that will be added to the outstanding fee. Added to the total cost is a Main Contractors Discount that has been worked out within the supply of materials.

  • Each area of scaffold when handed over for use comes with an up to 4 weeks hire period included unless stated above in the Period Weeks column. After 4 weeks the scaffold goes in to Extra Hire this is shown above and is quoted on a weekly basis and charged accordingly.

  • The hire of winches, gin wheels, hoists or other additional equipment will be shown above, the price of these will be reflected by the hire period and unless stated is only shown for 1 week. Loss or damage of these items will be charged for at book price and if hired in by us from a 3rd party it will be charged at the price they have quoted. Things like hoists may incur additional charges for daily and weekly inspections that full under you statutory duty as the user. This should be agreed before hand to minimise the risk of any unforeseen costs that could arise from this.

  • The quote for Monaflex and Debris netting shown is to supply and fit once only, due to the design of the fixings for sheeting they are made to snap under high wind and adverse weather so as to not add additional loading to the scaffolding. Refitting of sheeting and netting will be priced accordingly and issued to site either as a formal quote or a variation form.

  • By agreeing to this contracted quotation you understand as the hirer of the scaffold and materials it is your duty to provide a safe and secure place of work, you will undertake all responsibilities of the loss or damage to materials provided and agree that these must be replaced at the current rates of which they are sold. The above statement includes the cutting of any material without permission.

  • The install of scaffold alarms if required will need to be linked to an employee of site who will receive any updates of breaches causing the alarm to sound. If the alarms are sounded due to unwanted access to the scaffold it is up to the hirer of the scaffold to

  • make a decision of the actions taken, if the alarm is seen to be falsely activated a number of times it is down to the hirer to contact us so we can arrange inspection and testing. Pole2Pole Scaffolding can not be held responsible for false alarm triggering nor any complaints regarding the alarm noise when triggered.

Scaffold Design and Set Out.

  • Erection and dismantle

  • The client is responsible for clearing any obstruction and debris limiting the access of setting out scaffold. The client is also responsible for organising the cleaning of scaffold before it is dismantled, the cleaning of any obstructions around soul boards and base plates so they are visible for retrieval and the cleaning of any footpath, drive or highway from debris that have come from the scaffold once dismantled. Further points to be considered are listed below.

  • 1. Client to provide the request of license before work commences, if the request is outside of the original quotation we have the right to revise the quotation accordingly including out of hours work. It is the client’s duty under CDM regs 2015 to provide and maintain a safe place of work, a secure site with all additional signage, lighting required to carry out work safely for the duration of the job.

  • 2. Should the site conditions require a bulk timber fender this is to be provided, placed maintained and removed by you.

  • 3. Main contractor to obtain the permission for us to have access to, erect over within adjoining properties.

  • 4. In order to comply with NASC TG20:21 we have a statutory duty to physically tie the scaffold with either a box type arrangement or a drilled anchor tie. These must be fitted at certain intervals within a scaffold. Pole2Pole Scaffolding can not be held responsible for the blowing of render, neither brittle bricks nor the filling in of any holes left from anchor ties. If box ties are to be fitted around visible areas of the building it is down to the client to provide a suitable protection to eliminate damage that could occur from the movement of scaffold.

  • 5. All cladding type building will need to be made accessible for anchor ties by the client, all used ties on cladding buildings must be retrievable when being removed or you will be charged per item that is lost.

  • 6. Scaffold transoms may need to butt against the building as part of the design, these could cause damage to the surface of the building. Pole2Pole Scaffolding can not be held responsible for any damaged caused by butting tubes that are capped, nor are we obligated to repair or paint areas that were masked by tubes butting.

  • 7. Where weather proofing type materials are to be removed or cut this is down to the client to do so and fully reinstate once completed. Pole2Pole Scaffolding can not be held responsible for non watertight proofing arranged by the client.

  • 8. It is the client’s duty to provide a suitable and solid base that will not shift nor settle once the imposed loads are set upon it. The base is to exceed the scaffold boundary when possible a minimum of 300mm allowing room to set out with soul boards. Any obstructions are to be cleared by you and all loose material, rubbish and earth type materials are to be removed so base plates and soul boards are visible prior to dismantle. Any obstruction that is to be cleared by us in your absence or any sinkage of scaffold needing attention will be charged to you accordingly. It is advised that the client is available to see the setting out of the scaffold because once they are set out there will be a fee for removing and replacing them.

  • 9. When being called back to site from absence it is the client’s duty to provide a full day’s work to our operatives on that visit.

  • 10. Our price is based on the understanding that we will have free use of and mechanical lifting equipment available to site i.e. hoist, winch, forklift and cranes. The price given also includes a good access to and from the working area without obstruction, diversions or barriered off areas.

  • 11. Any scaffolds that must be set out on roofs or other limited structural surfaces must be agreed that the imposed loads can be taken. We can supply the loads once the drawings are completed for the scaffold design.

  • 12. Due to the nature of Monaflex sheeting and debris netting the quoted price is to fix once only. It is the client’s responsibility to agree that the sheeting/netting is fixed appropriately at 1M centres before leaving site. The re-fixing of sheeting and netting will be charged accordingly.

  • 13. This quotation is based on work being carried out during a normal working day during normal working hours. If due to police restrictions, abnormal traffic conditions, adverse weather where work cannot be carried out safely or any other circumstances beyond our control we cannot be held responsible for lost productive time.

  • 14. Please note that by accepting this quotation you understand and are fully aware that you are responsible for any damages that may arise whilst scaffold materials are being delivered, erected, dismantled or removed from site. We will do our very best to make sensible decisions and plan routes for transit, we will work within our training as be as careful as possible not to cause damage.

  • 15. Under Construction Design Management Regulation 2015 the main contractor/client must provide suitable and sufficient welfare facilities along with somewhere to heat food and water, dry clothes and be secure when work has finished. The main contractor must supply and maintain all signage, lighting, site inductions, first aid preserves along with information and instruction. Facilities must be fit for use prior to start date. We would ask you to read and understand the following statements about our payment terms that by accepting this quotation and receiving order are legally contracted to follow.

  • 17. The hire period stated in the quotation is for a minimum period. No rebate will be issued for scaffold removed before the stated hire period.

  • 18. Traffic and pedestrian routes must be planned, put in place and paid for by client with any paperwork ready for inspection by us prior to starting works. Client must supply, set out, maintain, remove all lighting, cones, signage, safety barriers and equipment ECT, at no extra cost to us or with no deduction from this quote.

  • 19. This quotation has been put together by a trusted employee of Pole2Pole Scaffolding, if you feel this quote is too cheap, too expensive or not within the scope of works please get in touch with us prior to proceeding as this could be user error or miss understood error by either party. We are very approachable and can offer advise and information.

  • 20. Upon handover of scaffold anchor ties would have undertook a pull test using a hydraulic pull tester, the results are recorded and available for inspection by appointment. All pull tests are carried out by competent persons and are deemed to be true results in accordance to the details provided of tie loads from designs and compliance sheets.

  • 21. It is the clients job to arrange a clear area for scaffold to be erected, this includes any vehicles that are parked underneath or obstructing a clear access, Pole2Pole are not responsible for any damage caused to vehicles if they are told to go ahead knowing the vehicle will be parked there during delivery, erection, dismantle and removal. Any bays that need suspending or pavement licenses that need applying for to carry out the job are down to the client to arrange, put in place and pay for unless otherwise stated.
