Area Designated (Where do you dump?)

  • Is the entrance to the site marked?<br>The entrance-way should be easy to locate from the street.

  • Is the driver easily directed to the dump location?<br>The driver should be able to find their way to the unload location on site.

  • Does the site have established haul roads for trucks?<br>Drivers should have a route to get to and from the unload location.

  • Is dump location clearly identified?<br>Precise zone for material to be unloaded should be clear to driver.

  • What type of road surface is in place?

Communication Established (How do you communicate?)

  • Who is contacted from site? Onsite contact should be established for dispatch. Name, Phone #, CB Channel, Position

Environment Controlled (How are dump conditions?)

  • Is area free of overhead lines?<br>Drivers area not permitted to dump within 6 meters of overhead lines.

  • Is area around dump zones clear?<br>Area surrounding unload locations should have adequate clearance.

  • Is there a flag person to direct trucks into position?<br>Flag person should be present if trucks haven to reverse into position.

  • What are ground conditions at the dump point?

  • What are the grade conditions at the dump point?

Dispatch and Logistics (How is the load delivered?)

  • Are the directions on the ticket accurate?<br>The driver should easily find the job from delivery instructions.

  • Is the site weather-sensitive?<br>Wet conditions can compromise ground stability making it unsafe for trucks.

  • Can the customer stockpile material?<br>Some customers are service-sensitive and use the material as it's delivered.
