Are fire extinguishers and overhead fire sprinklers up to date for inspections and in good condition and easily seen?

Are all emergency exits clear of blockage and are the exit signs in good condition?

Are overhead lighting, skylights, and roofs in good condition?

All hazardous materials' containers are properly labeled and stored?

Machinery guards correctly fitted and functioning?

Are warnings or instructions displayed? Emergency stops positioned appropriately and easily identified?

Are noise control measures in place including use of PPE?

Is work flow satisfactory, with operators posture ergonomically sound?

Air Compressors gauge intact, safety valve operative and certificate of inspection displayed?

Occupational Health and Safety and other policies displayed?

First aid facilities displayed?

Accident reporting & accident investigation records?

Pre placement health evaluations?

Preventative Maintenance carried out?

Permit procedures established and followed (hot work, confined space etc.)?

Has an emergency plan been prepared for the worksite and includes response procedures for the different types of emergencies that could occur? Is this communicated to all workers?

Are forklifts being operated safely and inspected at the start of every shift?

Do forklifts have functioning warning devices such as back-up alarms, strobes, or horns?
