Walkways

  • Is there safe clearance for walking in isles where forklifts operates?

Exiting / Evacuation

  • Are all exit signs illuminated?

  • Are all exits kept free of obstructions?

Fire Protection

  • Are fire doors unobstructed and protected against obstructions, including their counterweights?

  • Is proper clearance maintained below sprinkler heads?

Personal Protective Equipment and clothing

  • Are protective goggles or face shields provided and worn where there is any danger of flying particles or corrosive materials or liquids?

  • Are safety glasses worn at all times in areas where there is the risk of injuries?

  • Is all PPE maintained and available for use?

Portable Ladders

  • Are all ladders maintained in good condition, rails free from cracks or splitting, ladder free of oil, grease or other material that may cause slippage. Are rungs, cleats or steps intact and free of damage? Are steps or rings tight? <br>Ladders that have a locking device, is that intact and functional?<br>Ladders that have a platform cage, are cages intact and free from broken weld?<br>Is the ladder free from any other defects that may impair it's safe usage?

Hand Tools and Equipment

  • Are all tools and equipment in good condition?

  • Table Jacks in good condition, in service and functional?

Portable (Power Operated) Tools and Equipment

  • Are the guards on the grinders, saws or similar equipment in tact?

  • Is hoisting equipment available and used for lifting heavy objects and in good condition?

Electrical

  • Are exposed wiring and cords with frayed or deteriorated insulation repaired or replaced promptly?

  • Are electrical cords and cables free of splices or cracks?
