Items

  • PODIUM (Has a wider work platform (20") than a platform ladder (15") and extend 3 feet above the height of the platform)

  • PLATFORM (only extend to knee height (2 feet), and have a smaller work platform than a Podium version. Additionally, a gate attachment is infeasible on Platform models. Platform type ladders will not be permitted on Turner or Gilbane projects.

  • Manufacturer's Labels, Warnings, and Ratings Visible

  • Will any of the Ladder's Components Cause Punctures, Lacerations or Snag the User's Clothing?

  • Non Slip Feet not Damaged and in Good Condition

  • Spreader Braces not Damaged and Open Fully

STEP LADDERS

  • Wobbly or Loose

  • Hinges Loose or Damaged

  • Top Cracked, Missing Rivets, Loose or Broken

  • Does the Ladder's Height Allow you to Safely Reach the Work Area? (Use the Two Foot Rule)

EXTENSION LADDERS

  • Loose, Broken, or Missing Extension Locks

  • Locks Seat Properly when Ladder is Extended

  • Pulley, Rung Locks & Springs, and Rope are in Good Condition

  • Does the Ladder's Length Allow you to Safely Reach the Work Area?
