  • Are all substances labeled and secure, except when in use?

General

  • Are all personnel wearing suitable PPE for the area?

  • Are machine panels and guards in good condition and being used correctly?

  • Is the Company Health, Safety, & Environment policy clearly visible?

  • Are there any building defects that may present a risk to HSE?

  • Is the lighting sufficient, clean and in good working order?

  • Is all faulty and damaged furniture / equipment removed from the area?

  • Are all ladders secure and stored in the correct location?

  • Are operators having ergonomic issues?

Communication with employee

  • Discuss opinions on the SOC process and how it works

  • Can the employee explain the emergency evacuation procedure?

  • Discuss if H&S communication routes are effective

  • Discuss the Risk Assessment process and if RA's are communicated

  • Discuss the employees understanding of the company COSSH process

  • Discuss any Health and Safety issues the employee may have.
