High Consequence hazards

If you answer yes to any of the below questions then that particular hazard MUST be controlled before any works may continue please contact your JOHNS LYNG GROUP WHSE Manager if you are unsure or require assistance.

  • Is there a need for works to be conducted at heights? if yes controls MUST be put in place to eliminate the risk of falls. Please contact your WHSE manager to discuss or refer to the JLG Working at Heights Procedure.

  • If Emergency Services have attended the property, DO NOT assume that power, water and gas are isolated. Always engage qualified personnel to attend and ensure the site is safe before works can commence.

  • Are there any electrical hazards on the property that are needed to be controlled including power form the street? if yes you MUST contact a qualified contractor immediately to control the hazard.

  • If yes. Provide the name of the contractor and the proposed method of control.

  • Are there any hazards relating to gas? if yes you MUST contact a qualified contractor immediately to control the hazard.

  • Are there any residents in the direct building or area where MakeSafe works are to be undertaken? Works MUST NOT commence where there is still a resident who could be potentially injured or exposed to a hazard. Residence must be advised to leave the property. If residents refuse then works MUST NOT commence.
