Job-specific orientation is to be given prior to commencing work. All personnel are to clearly understand where safety equipment is located, safety hazards, evacuation plans, emergency numbers and phone locations in areas which employees are working.

Review Hazcom program with crew to include location of MSD sheets and labeling of secondary containers.

In accordance with MBI Safety Program a work permit is required for certain hazardous work. (Hot work, Confined Space, Lockout/Tagout) Work cannot be started without a signed work permit. New permits are required for each shift. See the Foreman assigned to the task for help.

A trained fire watch person is to be present when cutting, burning or welding is performed.

Make sure the construction area is secure at all times. Set up signs for traffic and pedestrian routes around construction.

Is a Crane Use Permit required?

HASP has been submitted to General contractor and or owner.

HASP's for all subcontractors have been reviewed and submitted to GC as required.

All required postings are displayed on the jobsite. (OSHA 300, Workers Comp, Emergency contact #’s, Direction to medical facilities, MBI Contact Poster, etc.)

Eye Wash

Competent Person Forms Filled out

Rigging Inventory Completed

SDS CD on hand

SDS’s for job specific materials in HASP

JHA’s signed off on by crew

Inspect and inventory fall protection

Inspect and inventory Hand power tools

Flammable storage cabinet

Tabulated data for any trench boxes to be used

Post all required state and federal labor posters in job trailer.
