d) old used bin liner is disposed of properly

Office furniture are clean.

Office furniture are clean if:
a) Free from any undesirable marks or debris, including dust, grime, smears, spills and stains
b) Polished to a high lustre where the material allows.

Kitchen, Kitchenette and Food Preparation Areas

Kitchen, kitchenette and food preparation areas are clean.

Kitchen, kitchenette and food preparation areas are clean if:
a) Counter tops and bench tops are free of any undesirable marks or debris, including stains, scale, mould, dirt, grime, water, crockery and cutlery
b) Surfaces are wiped and sanitised in line with the agreed schedule
c) Floors are free of any undesirable marks or debris including dirt, food scraps, oil and grime
d) Waste bins are clean, not over flowing (having a minimum of one quarter capacity left) and have a bin liner in place
e) Walls and splashbacks are free from any undesirable marks or debris, including dust, marks or grime
f) Microwaves are free from any undesirable marks, debris or odour, including food spills, crumbs, splatters, smears, stains, internally & externally
g) Dishes are cleaned and stacked away
h) Refrigerators are free from any undesirable marks, debris or odour, including food spills, crumbs, splatters, smears and stains, internally & externally
i) Clean bin liners are in place
j) Old used bin liner is disposed of properly

Restrooms

Restrooms floors, edges and skirting are clean.

Restrooms floors, edges and skirting are clean if:
a) Free from any undesirable marks or debris, including dirt, chewing gum, dust, grime, cobwebs, graffiti or stickers, scuffs, smears, discolouration or stains.
b) Free from puddles of water greater than 8cm in diameter
c) Free from staining & discolouration in the grouting
d) No more than 2 pieces of rubbish, including toilet paper or hand towels on the floor.

Restrooms toilet bowls, toilet seats, and urinals are clean.

Restrooms toilet bowls, toilet seats, and urinals are clean if:
a) Free from any desirable marks, debris or waste including smears, marks or grime
b) Free from a build up of uric acid.

Restrooms' toilet paper, soap and hand towel dispensers are well presented and adequately stocked.

Restroom toilet paper, soap and hand towel dispensers are well presented and adequately stocked, If:
a) All dispensers are free from any undesirable marks or debris including dirt, chewing gum, dust, grime, graffiti, stickers, smears and scuffs.
b) Adequately stocked:
- toilet paper is available in all dispenses, as well an additional
unused roll of toilet paper in each cubicle
- Hand soap is available in all dispenser
- Paper towels available in all dispenser; and
- Otherwise as directed by Curtin University

c) Bench tops are polished to a high lustre
d) Taps, basins, pipes and bench tops are free from any undesirable marks and debris including scale, mould, dirt, soap residue, grime or water
e) Mirrors provide a visibly clear reflection through the glass and are free of any undesirable marks or debris including dirt, hair, dust and make-up, and less than 2 smears or streaks greater than 5cm in length

Restrooms' walls, doors and partitions are clean

Restrooms' walls, doors and partitions are clean if:
a) Free from any undesirable marks or debris including dirt, chewing gum, dust, grime, graffiti or stickers, cobwebs, dead insets or dust.
b) Free from scuffs or smears longer than 10cm
c) Free from discolouration or stains measuring more than 5cm in diameter
d) Free from discolouration or staining on grout
e) Tiles are polished to a high lustre.
f) Doors, handles, grills and hinges are free from any undesirable marks or debris including dirt, dust or grime

Restrooms' bins are clean and functional if:
a) Free from visible dust, grime, dirt, discolouration, graffitti, stickers or spills
b) Free from unpleasant odour;
c) Adequately lined.
d) Bins are not overflowing and have at a minimum of one quater capacity left
e) Old used bin liner is disposed of properly

Restrooms have no unpleasant odour.

Restrooms have no unpleasant odour if there is no offensive odour in the restroom.

Restrooms' sanitary bins are clean, functional and well presented.

Restroom sanitary bins are clean, functional and well presented if:
a) Free from any undesirable marks or debris including dirt, chewing gum, dust, grime, graffiti or stickers
b) Bins are not overflowing and have a minimum of one quarter capacity left
c) Bins have bin liners in place which cannot be seen overhanging to the exterior of the bin
d) Free from unpleasant odours

All Areas - Floors including & not limited to carpets, vinyl, mats and tiles

Floors are clean and well presented.

Floors are clean and well presented if:
a) Floors, skirting and ledges are free from any undesirable marks or debris including dust, grime, rubbish, spills and stains
b) The floor other than carpet is presented in a high lustre finish.
c) There is no litter on the floor

All Areas - Public Use Furniture

Interior public use furniture are well presented and clean.

Interior public use furniture are well presented and clean if:
a) Free from any undesirable marks or debris including dust, grime, crumbs, chewing gum, rubbish, smears, spills, cleaning product residue and stains
b) Polished to a high lustre where the material allows
c) Placed neatly and proportionately in the specified area

All Areas - Pot Plants

Pot plants are well presented and clean.

Pot plants are well presented and clean if:
a) Free from rubbish and cobwebs
b) The exterior of the pot is free from any undesirable marks or debris including dust, smears, graffiti, stickers and dirt

All Areas - Windows & Glass Surfaces

Windows and glass surfaces are clean.

Windows and glass surfaces are clean if:
a) Free from any undesirable marks or debris including streaks, smears, marks, handprints, dust, grime, graffiti, stickers, water stains and mould
b) Free from visible past cleaning attempts including any cleaning product residue.
c) Provides a visibly clear vision through the glass

All Areas - Lighting and HVAC Register

Ceiling & wall lights and air conditioning registers are clean.

Ceiling & wall lights and air conditioning registers are clean if:
Free from any undesirable marks or debris including dust, dirt, grime, cobwebs, or dead insects.

All Areas - Bins

Rubbish bins are well presented & clean.

Rubbish bins are well presented & clean if:
a) Bins were not overflowing and have at a minimum one quarter capacity left
b) The outside of bins are free from any undesirable stains and marks
c) The bins have bin liners in place which cannot be seen overhanging to the exterior of the bin.
d) Free of odour.
e) Old used bin liners are disposed of properly

All Areas - Corridors, Passages & Doors

Corridors, passages and service doors are clean

Corridors, passages and service doors are clean if:
a) All surfaces including floors, ceilings, ledges, walls and doors are free from any undesirable marks or debris including dust, grime, chewing gum, dirt, graffiti and stickers
b) Light fittings are free from any undesirable marks or debris including dead insects
c) There are no cobwebs
d) Have less than 3 pieces of rubbish on the floor
e) Free from any unauthorised posters, stickers and notices on walls and noticeboards

Stairwells are clean if:
a) All surfaces including floors, ceilings, ledges, walls, doors and hand rails are free from any undesirable marks or debris including dust, grime, marks, chewing gum, dirt, graffiti or stickers
b) Light fittings are free from any undesirable marks or debris including dead insects
c) There are no cobwebs
d) There are less than 2 pieces of rubbish on the floor

Lifts are clean

Lifts are clean if:
a) Lift door tracks are free from any undesirable marks or debris including dirt, dust or grime
b) Vents are free from any undesirable marks or debris including dirt, dust or grime
c) All surfaces, including floors, ceilings, ledges, walls, side panels, doors and hand rails are free from any undesirable marks or debris including dust, grease or oil, grime, marks, chewing gum, dirt, graffiti or stickers
e) Light fittings are free from any undesirable marks or debris including dead insects
f) There are no cobwebs
g) There are less than 2 pieces of rubbish on the floor
h) Glass is visibly clear and free from more than 2 undesirable marks such as handprints or smears

All Areas - Entrances

Entrances are clean

Entrances are clean if:
a) Free of chewing gum of no more than 2 pieces per sqm
b) Free from any undesirable marks or debris including dirt, dust, spills, bird waste, odour, cobwebs, dead insects, graffiti, smears, grease or oil stains
c) Bollards are free from any undesirable marks or debris including smears a) Free from any undesirable marks including streaks, smears or marks longer than 5cm
d) Wall, door, frames, handles, hinges and glass are free from any undesirable marks or debris including hand prints, dust, dirt, smears, graffiti, bird waste, cobwebs and past cleaning attempts, such as cleaning product residue.
e) Entry mats are located in the correct position and free from any debris including litter, rubbish, smears, stains, build of dirt and dust.

External walls, doors and door frames are clean.

a) Free from any undesirable marks or debris including scale, mould, mildew, dust, graffiti, smears, handprints, dirt, stains cobwebs, dead insects or bird waste
b) Free from any unauthorised posters, stickers and notices on walls and noticeboards

All Areas - External perimeter of the building

External perimeter of the buildings are clean.

External perimeter of the buildings are clean if:
a) Free of chewing gum of no more than 2 pieces per sqm
b) Free from any undesirable marks or debris including dirt, dust, spills, bird waste, odour, cobwebs and smears

All Areas - Garden beds at perimeter of the building

Garden beds, planters or pot plants clean and well presented.

a) Free of any debris including rubbish and litter.
b) The outside of planters are free from any undesirable marks or debris including dust, graffiti, and stickers

All Areas - Signage and Awnings

Directional & advertising signage, directory boards, payphones, vending machines and Automatic Teller Machine are clean.

a) Floors are free of any undesirable marks or debris including dirt, soil, rubbish and grease
b) Have less than 5 pieces of rubbish in the loading dock
c) Wall surfaces, signages and doors are free of any undesirable marks or debris including smears, splashes, grease, food stuffs, grime and dirt
d) Free of undesirable marks or debris including graffiti, unauthorised posters and stickers
e) Free of any unpleasant or offensive odour
f) There are no cobwebs
g) Drains are free flowing
h) Recycling cooking oil tanks are free of oil build-up

Cleaners Room & Storage

Cleaners room and storage areas are clean and functional.

Cleaners room are clean and functional if:
a) All surfaces including floors, ceilings, ledges, walls and doors are free from any undesirable marks or debris including dust, grime, marks, chewing gum or dirt
b) Taps, basins, pipes and bench tops are free from any undesirable marks or debris including scale, mould, dirt, grime or water
c) First aid supplies are available and stocked to the requirements of Curtin University
d) Doors, handles, grilles and hinges are free from any undesirable marks or debris including dirt, dust or grime
e) MSDS sheets are available for all chemicals
f) Equipment is stored in a tidy and organised manner
g) Equipment is clean and well maintained including valid tags
h) At least 3 days supply of chemicals are available
i) There are no chemical spills or contamination.
j) At least 2 weeks supply of consumables are available in accordance with the requirements of Curtin University
k) All chemicals are stored safely and appropriately in accordance to best industry practise and the requirements of Curtin University
l) Only correct colour coded tools and equipment are stored

All Areas - Cleaners Equipment

Safe and Colour coded cleaners equipment utilised are as per agreement

Colour coded cleaners equipment utilised are as per agreement if:
a) Colour coded equipment are utilised for cleaning each area as per Agreement specification
b) Where applicable, electrical tags on electrical equipment are valid
