VTC and ATC

  • Tap the Touch Panel to wake it up. First thing to do is tap "Initiate Distance Presentation." After that select the room that you will be going to next (for example, if I am in room 231, I would select room 111).

  • The projector screen should come down; the touch panel interface will change; the back TV will turn on as well

  • If you see all three of these things, check this box here.

  • Go to the Conference Tab and disconnect the video conference. After that, go to the audio section and call the office (ext: 68736). Let it ring until you hear the voicemail prompt start. You can end the call after that.

Document Camera

  • Select the Document Camera on the Touch Panel. Pull open the drawer on the side of the podium and then lift the arm of the Document Camera up

  • The Document Camera should automatically turn on and should display on the touch panel, projection screen, and the back TV. Wave your hand slowly three time across the camera to make sure you can see what the document camera displays

  • Check here if everything is okay

DVD Player

  • Tap the DVD Player button and DO NOT USE THE BUTTONS ON THE DVD PLAYER. Use the controls on the touch panel for the DVD Player

  • Insert a DVD into the player. Make sure that you can see it on the projector screen, touch panel, and back TV.

  • Check here if everything is okay

Checking Inputs

  • Before we start, there are different inputs on the podium that you need to be aware of. There are three different inputs: VGA, DVI, and HDMI. The VGA and DVI inputs have also a data port and an audio part as well. The HDMI only has a data port.

  • FOR B36 AND B32 ONLY: Tap the HDMI input on the touch panel and plug in the HDMI cable to the port along with the data cable as well. Check the sound, internet and image.

  • Tap the DVI input on the touch panel and plug in the DVI cable along with an audio cable and data cable as well. Check the sound, internet and image

  • Tap the VGA input on the touch panel and plug in the VGA cable along with an audio cable and data cable as well. Check the sound, internet and image

Mac Mini

  • Tap the Mac button of the touch panel and login to the Mac Mini

  • Check the sound.

  • Check here if everything is okay

Classroom PC

  • Tap the PC button of the touch panel and login to the PC

  • Click on turning point and select powerpoint polling. After that create a polling slide. Create a test question and 4 test answers.

  • Start the powerpoint from the start and check to see if you can poll. NOTE: You will need to have and ARS clicker

  • Check here if Turning Point is good

  • FOR 231, 111, B36, & B32 ONLY: We will need to check the Electronic White Board.

  • Go to the Room tab and tap the Off button. The projector screen will go up.

  • Check here if the screen goes up.

  • Then click on the E-Beam software. After that go into Tool -> Calibrate Whiteboard. Follow the instruction on how to find the dimensions of the whiteboard.

  • After you have followed the instructions, write on the whiteboard and see if anything pops up on the digital screen.

  • check here if you can see what you wrote on the digital whiteboard

  • Go on Youtube and play a video. Make sure that the audio is good.

  • Check here if the audio is good.
