1 - Inspection

  • 1.0 Overall Condition of the Asset

  • Item 1.1 - Check signage shows correct information and is in an acceptable condition

  • Item 1.2 - Are vents and/or relief valves clear to operate correctly?

  • Item 1.3 - Check that overflow is clear to operate correctly (if accessible)

  • Item 1.4 - Check Electrical Earthing equipment if installed

  • Item 1.5 - Check outer foundations for cracking spalling or signs of settlement

  • Item 1.6 - Check outer rim of floor plate and cavities under drain fittings for signs of product leakage from under tank or from under insulation.

  • Item 1.7 - Visual inspection of protruding floor plate for corrosion, and under insulation corrosion.

  • Item 1.8 - Visual inspection of tank shell walls for distortion, dents or bulges (also look for insulation/cladding damage where applicable)

  • Item 1.9 - Visual inspection of protective coatings for signs of non-uniform thickness, blistering or peeling

  • Item 1.10 - Visual inspection of all manholes and nozzles for corrosion and possible leakage

  • Item 1.11 - Visual inspection of access ways attached to the tank and also those separated from the tank which provide access to the tank roof

  • Item 1.12 - Check roof for areas of water ponding. i.e. Are there signs of water ponding?

  • Item 1.13 - Check that any drains are clear and operating as intended

  • Item 1.14 - Check condition of roof insulation and sealing around manholes and nozzles
