External Cleanliness

  • Forecourt is fully stocked with watering jugs, water bucket and squidgys, paper towel and equip wipes

  • Food displays look appetising with the correct par levels for the time of day and labels centered.

  • Glass cabinets are clean without smudges or finger prints

  • Evidence of date labeling in place. (Egg wash is in the fridge with a date unless in use)

  • Food is to specification with no substitutes. (Ingredient weights have a maximum of 20% leeway)

  • Evidence of temperature checks being complete

  • Orange juice has a minimum of 8 stocked full of ice. Water is kept to a minimum.

Coffee Standards

  • Barista has completed minimum of the Grinders Bronze course.

  • Coffee is being produced with a good work flow adhering to the STC requirements.

  • Coffee machine and surroundings including underneath are clean of debris.

  • Coffee is made to standard with a natural sweet taste.

Storerooms

  • Storage areas are organised and clean

  • Floor stock is off the ground

  • Deliveries checked off on arrival, marked on invoice and signed.

Cash Security and Security

  • Cash and tobacco are locked away at all times

  • Money is being counted out of customer view

  • Back storeroom doors are closed and back exit doors are kept locked

Customer Experience

  • Staff have correct uniform and name badges i.e no leggings or excessive jewellery

  • Customers are being acknowledged with warmth.

  • Correct promotions in place with priorities set.

  • Stock is full on shelves with no clear gaps
