Pipe Cleaning

  • Have the ends of the pipes been cleaned?

  • Have all potential surface contaminants been cleaned / wiped off the pipes?

  • Has the inside of pipe been checked for debris / foreign material and removed?

Pipe Alignment and Jointing

  • Has the rubber ring been lubricated and positioned correctly inside the pipe end to create a good seal?

  • Has the next pipe been lifted into the trench safely and correctly?

  • Have the two pipe ends been correctly aligned prior to joining?

  • Using the excavator, have the pipe ends been inserted into one another correctly?

  • Has a quality seal between the pipes been achieved?

  • Are the pipes correctly angled to account for curves in the pipeline alignment?

  • Have the pipes remained undamaged after this joining process?

Visual Inspection
