RIG - DOWN

NMC CAMP RIG – DOWN CHECKLIST

  • Confirm with client 48 hours and 24 hours prior to Camp move that Camp move plans have not changed (D,T,L)

  • Check all tyres to ensure they are inflated

  • Camp Site Supervisor to contact NMC and Transport Company immediately of any changes

  • Arrange Sewage tanks or STP to be emptied prior to move and rubbish bin transported to new site

  • Arrange Weed and Seed Certificates prior to Camp move (if required)

  • Arrange to have Grey Water Tank emptied and moved to new location (if on location)

  • Conduct vehicle Pre-Start check as per companies' checklist - ensure communication equipment is operational

  • Remind staff of responsibilities and buddy system / conduct pre toolbox meeting / full PPE for staff

SLEEPER UNITS

  • Raise landing legs if they are the Razor motor type prior to disconnecting power

  • Pack up walkways and place in holder and secure with Two ratchet straps per holder (Trailer)

  • Pack away manifold system and potable water hoses / ensure all open Camlocks fittings are covered

  • Check each bedroom and bathroom ensure windows are closed, all loose items secure, cupboards and doors

  • locked and secure, chairs secured, TV locked in place and straps on A/C unit and TV units close all internal doors

  • Shut or tape up all under bed vents, wall vents and bathroom vents

  • Shut down power to Sleeper units by switching of mains switch in switch board. Use test buttons on RCDs.

  • Switch off power to sleeper unit by turning off the switch at the 32 Amp power point remove and roll up

  • Zip tie each external door closed to indicate the rooms have been secured & lock lower travel lock with master key

  • Pack away grey and black water hoses and sprinkler systems - ensure not to cross contaminate with potable water hoses

  • Wind up both front and rear legs ensuring that the handle is secured with a zip tie and is stationed in the low ratio geared position

  • Engage chain between landing leg trailer outer housing if able

  • Ensure outside cabinets are closed and secure

  • Remove timber blocks and store in accessible place for Rig Up, store some blocks in Ute (secure) for transfer

  • Pack up stairs and handrails and ensure they are secure

  • Pack away flood lights and secure flood light arm

  • Undo and pack away TV cables / remove any aerials on roof tops

  • Ensure Fire Extinguishers are seated in their cradle

  • Ensure window shutters are closed and latch is fully engaged

  • Undo and roll up earth cables after disconnection of Power Leads

  • Ensure grey and black water box tank lids are clipped down and secured

  • Ensure rear barn doors are zip tied shut

KITCHEN UNIT

  • Ensure walk in fridge, freezer items are secure, and doors closed and locked with pins

  • Items in Glass door fridges and doors are secure

  • Oil in deep fryer has been drained

  • Water in Bain Marie has been drained

  • Water in dish washer has been drained

  • Drip tray under grill plate has been emptied and cleaned

  • All cupboards and drawers are secure / All items on shelves are secure

  • Pack up / lower TV satellite dish and cables and secure in dining room, Lay down phone aerials

  • Close windows / empty and remove bug zapper tray

  • Shut down Generators and disconnect power lead from Generator and roll up on front of kitchen - 2 Person Job

  • Roll up earth lead and secure

  • Isolate grey and potable water pumps by turning off switch in electrical switch board

  • Turn off main switch in electrical switch board

  • Disconnect and roll up grey water hoses, ensure grey water box lid is clipped down and secured

  • Close and secure outside fridge and freezer compressor doors

  • Pack away chemicals and secure doors, Secure outside sink. Ensure chemicals are in correct bunding.

  • Conduct temperature check on fridges and freezers and log on toolbox sheets

  • Secure ladder inside of kitchen unit, ensure power board doors are secure

  • Ensure potable water got hose is removed and stored correctly

  • Wind up both front and rear legs ensuring that the handle is secured with a zip tie and is stationed in the low ratio geared position

  • Engage chain between landing leg trailer outer housing

  • Pack up kitchen unit platform, stairs and handrails - 3 Person Job and ensure their secured, Extra zip ties needed

  • If winch operated step, follow instructions on the supplied SWI

  • Ensure outside window shutters are closed and ensure latch is engaged fully

GENERATOR/ LAUNDRY UNIT

  • Secure all items and roll down flaps in dry store room

  • Secure and pack bedroom items as per sleepers

  • Lock down and secure washing machine and dryers

  • Ensure all items and cupboard doors are secure in laundry

  • Pack away generators and secure internal doors Do Not store any equipment in or on the floor of Generator cube

  • WHERE FITTED - ensure diesel level site tubes taps are closed and fuel cell breather is closed

  • Pack away loose items - bins, tables, signs etc. DO NOT store in Generator Cube

  • Secure outside doors with zip ties once secure inside rooms

  • Close outside storage doors and ensure they are secure

  • Ensure generator pod and radiator doors are closed and handles are locked once shut down. Use push/pull

  • Ensure generator doors are key locked for added safety

  • Remove and pack away earth stakes and leads are secured

  • Wind up both front and rear legs ensuring that the handle is secured with a zip tie and is stationed in the low ratio geared position

  • Engage chain between landing leg trailer outer housing

  • Pack away generator stairs and handrails and secure - 2 Person

  • Close all shutters and ensure latches are engaged fully

  • Pack and store grey water hoses - Ensure grey water box lid is clipped down and secured

  • Ensure cover is clipped shut on power outlet

  • Aerials are removed from roof top / TV cable packed away, ensure safety wide load flags are in place

GENERATOR UNIT

  • Once power to the camp is no longer required, shut down the generators

  • Depress all E-Stops in Generator Trailer and turn off all battery isolators

  • Close stand pipe ball valve

  • Secure all loose items inside

  • Earth rod disconnected and stored

  • Close and lock door

  • Remove handrails and store in location provided

  • Remove steps and store in location provided

  • Do not raise stabiliser legs until prime mover is under the trailer

STP UNIT (If applicable)

  • Using pull through pump empty all layflat hoses

  • Silo bin stored and bar screen pipe stored

  • Decommission SK25A following manufacturer procedure

  • Turn unit off behind orange electrical box door

  • Roll up electrical cable and store

  • Aeration tanks emptied 50% for transit / camp move (different process for complete decommission of unit)

  • If required empty 15,000L holding tank

  • Tie up decanter for transport

  • Screw on all tank covers

  • Store and strap ladders on platform

  • Store STP handrails and ladder and platform

  • All blackwater and irrigation hoses disconnected, rolled up and stored

  • Close and zip tie skel trailer cages

  • Raise stabiliser legs and landing legs before transport

  • Organise suck truck to pump out balance tank, the other tanks to 50% levels prior to moving (check Quick Guide)

GYM UNIT

  • Secure all gym equipment inside trailer

  • Turn off all electrical equipment

  • Turn off trailer from main power source

  • Roll up and store main electrical lead

  • Roll up and store earth lead

  • Close all windows

  • Close and lock door

  • Store handrails and steps

OUTSIDE AREAS AND PRIOR LEAVING SITE

  • TWO separate inspections of all units to ensure all items are secure - use Push / Pull Test

  • First Inspection Conducted - Name

  • Second Inspection Conducted - Name

  • Once trucks have connected with trailers pack away blocks and chocks

  • Liaise with drivers and truck push to ensure all trailers are ready for transportation

  • Once trailers leave site conduct inspection of site and remove any rubbish and debris, etc.

  • Ensure all associated camp signs on road are collected and stored securely

  • Ensure any items placed in light vehicles for camp moves are adequately covered, secured, and tied down

RIG - UP

CONSIDERATIONS FOR PLACEMENT OF CAMP

  • Check Pad for any Hazards - identified and remove or flag off any area

  • Position of STP if required to be at lower side of pad (if applicable)

  • Allocation of grey water areas - at least two sides of pad to prevent pooling - downhill from trailers if ground has slope

  • 5 metre minimum space around Camp for service trucks to drive around if required

  • Ensure grey water hoses are not extend too long as pumps may not be able to pump distance

  • Sloping of ground - dollies may need to be removed

  • Positioning of Generator trailer - so service vehicles (fuel and water trucks) can pull downside of Camp and not drive around sleeper units

  • Car park location - vehicle movement waking up crews

  • Rubbish bins placement - trucks emptying bins waking up crews

  • Grey water tank placement - downhill and away from sleeper so truck can empty

  • Pad near Main road - traffic will keep people awake

  • Lighting from spotlights for rubbish bins, car park, and delivery areas

  • Parking for dolly if removed from trailers

  • Sunrise and sunset - trailers should face east-west if possible, to avoid sun on sides of trailers

  • Potential fire direction

NMC CAMP RIG – UP CHECKLIST

  • Place out directional Camp signs on turns to new site

  • Walk over site to identify any Hazards and mark if identified. Communicate to others if necessary.

  • Determine position of Camp considering the undulating ground, service deliveries and car park

  • Measure layout and brief truck push and staff on positions for units to be parked

  • Measure between trailers during each trailer laydown (no less than 4.7m, no more than 4.8m) depending on walkway width

  • Ensure 2 timber blocks are placed under heavy ends of trailers and chocks are positioned during trailer laydown

  • Ensure all legs have wooden blocks positioned underneath

  • Ensure that all legs are not over extended, use additional wooden blocks. Use low gear to raise or lower when touching blocks

  • Do not over inflate air bags if fitted as per Quick Guide

  • Do not release truck until position of trailers is level and in correct position

  • Once truck/ trailer has been removed from dolly ensure dolly draw bar leg is vertical and hoses are secured

  • Run out electrical leads and connect - ensure 2nd person check connections are secure

  • Unpack stairs and handrails, Ensure Stairs are seated in position and pins are installed

  • Unpack kitchen platform, stairs and handrails - 3 Person Job

  • Unroll, layout and connect earth leads

  • Unroll, layout and connect Grey Water hoses and sprinklers or flat hoses to STP or Gray Water Tank

  • Connect kitchen grey Water hose to Grey Water Tank and check for any kinks in hose, or flat hoses to STP or Gray Water Tank

  • Where applicable at “nil to ground” sites where more than one grey water tank is deployed, ensure an equal balance of hoses are connected to each tank.

  • Install Generator earth stakes in front of Generator

  • Connect kitchen power to front of Generator

  • Unpack Generator trailer

  • Unlock latch on washing machines

  • WHERE FITTED - ensure diesel fuel cell breather is open

  • Check Generator and open radiator doors prior start up as per Generator Start up guide

  • Switch on kitchen pumps in electrical switchboard

  • Ensure that pump in grey water box on kitchen unit is functional by running water and ensuring float is working

  • Check each room to ensure all electrical items are operating

  • Check bathrooms and toilets are operational

  • Ensure all fire extinguishers are accessible and can be removed freely from cradles

  • Setup and brief crews on muster point positions

  • Setup TV dish and cables

  • Setup spotlights

  • Setup walkways - ensure yellow walkways are at base of stairs - Green stair feet sit on top of yellow walkway, zip tie joins

  • Conduct function test of emergency equipment as per post camp move toolbox

  • Setup Carpark with bollards and signs

  • Setup smoking area

  • Ensure safety cones and bollards are positioned

  • Setup tables, signs, bins, chemical storage area, sinks and boot cleaner.

  • Unroll, sanitise and connect link balance hoses and manifold system

  • Replace air hose covers or tape

  • Inspect Camp for Hazards and report - fix any hazards if possible

  • Inspect Camp for any maintenance issues and report

  • Continue to setup Camp and adjust stairs etc.
