Facility Exterior Grounds

  • A. All doors and screens are clean and in good repair, make a good insect-proof seal when closed.

  • B. Load-out dock and dock pits are clean and free of trash, safety hazards, and/or pests.

  • C. Parking lot and grounds are free of trash, especially in smoking areas.

  • D. Dumpster area is clean and free of debris.

  • E. All signs are clean and in good repair. All exterior lights are working and are in good repair.

  • F. Pallets are clean and free of defects.

  • G. Vegetation free area around buildings is maintained.

  • H. No standing water adjacent to buildings. Gutters are in good repair. Outside bait stations are anchored and updated.

  • I. Outside trailers are secured, free of leaks, trash and pests.

Production Area- Flex Mills

  • A. Operators and helpers maintaining a clean work area during and after production. No excess spillage on floor. No food, drink, or personal items present.

  • B. Employees wearing clean uniforms, hair restraints, and proper footwear. Employees are not wearing jewelry or carrying any loose items in shirt pockets. Employees are washing hands after each break or when hands touch soiled surfaces.

  • C. Floors are clean and free of excess spillage. Cracks and holes are filled.

  • D. Walls are clean and cracks are filled. Drywall is patched.

  • E. All bagged products are kept off the floor

  • F. All scoops, shovels, brooms, and other equipment are clean, tethered, in good repair, and stored correctly

  • G. All motors, motor housings, conveyors, hoists, and stretch wrap machines are clean and free of leaking oil.

Warehouse

  • A. Warehouse is kept clean and orderly; floor is swept and free of spillage. All cracks and holes are sealed.

  • B. Storage perimeters are maintained- 18 inch perimeter free of items around entire warehouse.

  • C. Tin-cat traps or glue-boards are maintained along each wall and are checked and cleaned weekly.

  • D. All food grade raw materials and finished products are kept off the floor.

  • E. Insect electrocutor or light traps are clean and working. Bulbs are less than 1 year old.

  • F. All exterior doors are secure from unauthorized access and are properly sealed.

  • G. Area is free of insect and rodent activity; no cobwebs. Tin-cat traps and glue-boards are clean and in good repair.

  • H. All chemicals are labeled and kept closed. Chemicals not in regular use are stored in chemical lockup.

Maintenance Shop

  • A. Floor, walls, and doors are clean and in good repair.

  • B. All equipment parts, tools, and boxes are stored neatly, off the floor, and clean.

  • C. Food grade grease is kept separate from industrial grease.

  • D. Area is free of pest activity.

Restrooms

  • A. Walls, ceiling, floor, lockers, sinks, and toilets are clean, disinfected, and in good repair.

  • B. Hand washing signs are posted in all employee restrooms.

  • C. Sanitizing hand soap, disposable towels, and hot/cold running water is provided in all restrooms.

Employee Breakroom

  • A. Tables, chairs, floor, walls, doors, ceiling, air vents, trash container, and windows are clean and in good repair.

  • B. Microwave and refrigerator are clean and free of food residues.

  • C. No unsealed food or food containers are left in cabinets, on tables, or on counter-tops.

  • D. Employee bulletin board is up to date.

Office and lab areas

  • A. Walls, floors, doors, ceilings, and air vents are clean and in good repair.

  • B. Offices and labs are free of pest activity.

  • C. Offices and labs are free of safety hazards.
