Club Entrance & Reception

  • Is the car park clean and well presented?

  • Is the entrance clear of litter and debris with no cigarette butts present and generally well presented?

  • Are the team smartly presented as per the company dress code guidelines? (Black trousers/skirt, white blouse/shirt, tie/neck tie and name badge)

  • Are members being greeted with good eye contact, welcoming smile and are they engaging?

  • Ask the receptionist for information on 3 of the group exercise classes on the timetable. Can they describe them correctly?

Offices & Back Of House

  • Are all of the store rooms tidy with clear floor and safe storage of chemicals?

  • Are all of the store rooms with stock in them that is sold in the club locked at all times?

  • Are offices clean, neat and tidy?

  • Are all pool tests completed and within parameters? Has remedial action been recorded and actioned where appropriate? Take a photo of this and last weeks result sheets.

Retail & Cafe Area

  • Does the reception retail area look well presented and is clean with no dust on the shelving?

  • Are fridges in the cafe bar fully stocked, all labels facing forward and all stock displayed neatly with prices visible with the correct branding?

  • Furniture in good condition and well presented with clean, clear tables and represent the brand correctly?

  • Cafe bar is manned and in line with expectations where applicable?

  • Is the correct uniform being worn? (Black trousers, white shirt/blouse, chefs whites and apron)

  • Is the kitchen clean and in good condition?

  • Check the fridges and freezer. Is all food in date?

  • Is HS18 form complete and up to date?

Male Changing Rooms & Toilets

  • Lockers are clean with no rubbish or towels inside and door is closed when not in use?

  • Check that there are no ripped stickers on the back of locker doors? (Check 20)

  • Do all lockers have 2 hangers present and are both the same variety and colour (check 20)

  • Check that there are no towels or litter left in the changing rooms on benches or the floor?

  • Are all lights working in the changing rooms?

  • Are all walls clean, painted and with no marks evident?

  • Are all mirrors smear free and all basins clean with no surface water present and no missing parts in the basin?

  • Are all floors clean with no dust or dirt visible, especially in the corners?

  • Are bins good quality?

  • Are bins no more than half full and clean?

  • Are soap dispensers in place and in good condition?

  • Are all toilets in good working order?

  • Do the toilets smell fresh and toilet rolls are available at all times?

  • Any POS displayed in toilets is up to date and relevant?

  • Are all cleaning chemicals stored away from members sight including squeegees, machines and buckets?

Female Changing Rooms & Toilets

Gym

  • Is the air conditioning working, at the correct temperature with all the vents free from dust and damage?

  • Are all the walls clean, painted and with no marks?

  • Are all the lights working in the gym?

  • Is the music upbeat and at the correct levels?

  • Check the cardio boxes. Are they working? (Check 10)

  • Do all the TVs work and are turned on?

  • Are all the CV machines working with none out of order?

  • Are all the weights machines working with none out of order?

  • Are all the machines clean with no sweat marks?

  • Is all the flooring clean with no dust evident?

  • Is all the matting in good working order and clean?

  • Are all the pads on resistance machines clean and free from tears?

  • Is all the equipment stored away when not in use with no trip hazards?

  • Is the daily opening checklist complete for the area?

  • Is the daily cleaning schedule in place for this area?

  • Are the water coolers clean and working with no parts missing or poorly presented?

  • Are all the walls clean with no marks evident?

  • Are all the lights working when turned on?

  • Is all the equipment stored immaculately and safely when not in use? It is to be no higher than 1.5m.

  • Is the music system in good working order and head mics available in all studios?

General

  • Does the defibrillator work and all parts in place and in date?

  • Are all the fire escapes clear?

Health & Beauty

Clinic

  • Are the rooms clean and clutter free? (Check 2 rooms)
