  • Are the ceiling, lights and light covers in the car park clean?<br><br>Examine the ceiling and lights (the size of 20 bays and car spaces)<br><br>Answer YES if :<br>a) 80%of each surface (ceiling, lights and covers) are free from build up of dirt, dust, grime, scale and mould, mildew, rust stains, water marks or calcium and cobwebs.<br><br>AND<br>b) there is not a build up of bird droppings greater than 10cm squared<br>c) there is no graffitti<br><br>Answer NA if there is no underground section

  • Are the ceiling lights in the car park working?<br><br>Examine the ceiling and lights (the size of 20 bays and car spaces)<br><br>NB lights that have a small red light are emrgency lights and will not be turned on. Please do not count these.<br><br>Answer YES if :<br>a) Lights are all on and working<br>b) There are no broken or damaged lights<br><br>Answer NA if there is no underground section

  • Are the park and guidance lights functionng correctly?<br><br>Examine the ceiling and lights (the size of 20 bays and car spaces)<br>Inspect the parking guidance system lights to determine if green and red lights are functioning<br><br>Answer YES if all parking guidance system lights are:<br>a) clearly visible from the end of the row<br>b) Lights/signs on and working<br>c) free from broken or damaged lights<br>d) Accurately reading the car spaces available<br>e) All cables are neatly stored in parking guidance system trunking<br><br>Answer NA if there is no underground section and/or parking guidance system

  • Were the pipes, vents and signs clean?<br><br>Examine the pipes, vents and signs (the size of 20 bays/car spaces). This includes any down pipes, exposed ceiling pipes, air vents and air conditioning vents and directional signs<br><br>Answer YES if :<br>a) 80%of each surface (pipe vents and signs) are free from build up of dirt, dust, grime, scale and mould, mildew, rust stains, water marks or calcium and cobwebs.<br><br>AND<br>b) there is not a build up of bird droppings greater than 10cm squared<br>c) there is no graffitti<br><br>Answer NA if there is no underground section or if there are no pipes or vents in the area you audited.

  • Were the columns and pylons clean?<br><br>Examine the columns and pylons (the size of 20 bays/car spaces). <br><br>Answer YES if :<br>a) 80%of each surface (pipe vents and signs) are free from build up of dirt, dust, grime, scale and mould, mildew, rust stains, water marks or calcium and cobwebs. (Build up considered 2mm or more)<br><br>AND<br>b) there is not a build up of bird droppings greater than 10cm squared<br>c) there is no graffitti<br><br>Answer NA if there is no underground section or if there are no columns or pylons in the area you audited.

  • Is the car bitumen and concrete in the cap park areas in good condition?<br><br>Examine the bitumen and concrete the area the size of 20 bays. Note select an undercover car park, if there is no undercover car park assess the outdoor car park and establish if there are any uneven or damaged floor areas<br><br>Answer YES if:<br>a) Absence of Pot holes larger tha 10cm in diameter/1nch deep<br>b) Absence of areas of loose gravel exceed 50cm by 50cm<br>c) Absence of buckled, gouged or uneven surfaces (excl speed reduction devices)<br>d) No missing or damaged wheel stops<br>e) There are no bolts or other protrusions from the surface.

  • Are there less than 2 unattended trolleys in the car park (not in trolley bays)<br><br>Answer YES if:<br><br>a) there are 2 or less abondoned trolleys per car park floor<br>

  • Are the walls and doors clean<br><br>Inspect a section of car park that contains a door and a wall. This does not include public centre entry doors but may include emergency exot doors (not retailer doors) exiting into the car park.<br><br>Answer YES if:<br><br>a) 80% of each wall and door are free from a build up of dust, dirt, grme, scale, mould, mildew, rust stains, water marks or calcium and cobwebs (build up is considered more than 2mm)<br><br>AND<br>b) There is no build up of bird droppings greater than 10cm square<br>c) There is no graffitti<br>

  • Is the footpath and/or stairs, bollards and lights a the cente entrance clean?<br><br>Inspect 2 centre entrances and assess footpaths, stairs, bollards and lights extending 8m from the cente entrance door.<br><br>Answer YES if <br>a) There are 3 or less peices of litter<br>b) Is free of a significant build p of chewing gum (more than 3 pieces per sqm)<br>c) Is free from more than 1 spill stain greater than 10cm X 10cm<br>d) is free from a significant visible build up of dirt or grime<br>e) Corners are free from visible build up of durt or grime<br>f) Bollards are free from smears, spills or dirt marks greater than 5cm in length and free of graffitti PLUS<br>g) Lights free from dust, dirt or grime build up (build up is considered greater than 1mm)<br>h) Lights free from cobwebs or dead insects<br>i) Free from a build up of cigarette butts<br>j) surrounding garden beds or pot plants have less than 3 pieces of litter.<br>

  • Is the entry door, wall and glass clean?<br><br>Please inspect 2 entrances and assess entry walls, doors, door handles, door hinges, door frames and glass.<br><br>Answer YES if the wall, door, frames, handles, hinges and glass are:<br>a) Free from streaks, smears, or marks longer than 5cm<br>b) Free from more than 2 handprints<br>c) free from a visible build up of dust or grime covering more than 10% of the fitting, door, wall or glass<br>d) Free from graffitti<br>e) Free from visible past cleaning attempts<br>f) Free from cobwebs.

  • Is the entry mat clean?<br><br>Inspect 2 centre entrances and assess entry mat.<br><br>Answer YES if: <br>a) There is no litter on the mat<br>b) Does not have a visible build up of dust or dirt (looks like it needs a vacuum)<br>c) Has 2 or less deep rooted

  • Are entry mats installed correctly and are they in good condition?<br><br>Inspect 2 entrance and assess entry mats<br><br>Answer YES if: <br>a) Installed at the entry point<br>b) Securely fitted within the recess and doesn't present a trip hazard<br>c) In good condition with no holes and bare spots

  • Are the rubbish bins clean<br><br>Inspect 2 centre entrances and assess bins at each entrance<br><br>Answer YES if: <br>a) Bins are not overflowing<br>b) The outside of the bin is not stained<br>c) There are no more than 10 cigarette butts in the top of the bin<br>d) The bins have a bin liner in place<br>e) There is no offemsive odour emanating from the bin<br>f) The bun dies not have visible dust or grime build up on the base, sides or top<br><br>Mark NA if no bin at entrance

  • Are te wall and ceiling lights working?<br><br>Please examine all lights in the assessment zone (the two entrances selected)<br><br>Answer YES if all lights are on and working

  • Were the automatic payment machines clean?<br><br>Inspect the closest APM. Assess the external surfaces of APM. This is only for the car park to centre entrance inside the centre.<br><br>Answer YES if: <br>a) have 2 or less smears, spalshes or stains larger than 5cm<br>b) Free from conwebs, dead insects and visible dirt and dust build up<br>c) Free from scale, mould or mildew<br>d) Free from cleaning product build up<br><br>Answer NA if the car park you assessed does not have a APM.
