  • Signage, Barricading and delineation is in place to protect from falling objects.<br><br><br>( A high score indicates signage / barricading is in place and work area is delineated. Workers could explain signage / barricading and delineation requirements for their work area)

  • Workers trained, competent & completed VOC for plant operators / dogmen / riggers.<br><br><br>( A high score indicates workers have the correct training / licence for the work being conducted and could explain the training / VOC process they undertook. )

  • Rigging equipment fit for purpose & tested &tagged ( Slings, Chains and Vacuum Lifters etc )<br><br><br>( A high score indicates equipment is fit for purpose and has current tags / stickers attached. Workers can adequately explain the RUGBY tag system and inspection requirements for lifting equipment)

  • Cranes fit for purpose and lifting plan in place if required. <br><br><br>( A high score indicates cranes / plant is fit for purpose. Workers could explain how equipment used for lifting is selected and inspection requirements. )

  • Lifting SWMS/JSA identify risks and offer suitable controls. <br><br><br>( A high score here indicates SWMS/JSA are correctly filled out, recently reviewed by the work team, all task risks are included. Controls identified in the SWMS/JSA are in place & known by the work crew)

  • Additional Controls for 'On the Job / On the Day' risks are in place<br><br><br>( A high score indicates additional controls are listed in permits and Job Start Cards e.g. Hot Day = Drink Fluids. Workers could explain why additional controls have been implemented.

  • Work Team has the ability to effectively respond to an Emergency<br><br><br>( A high score indicates workers can explain / describe - Communication protocols, Emergency Contacts, on site First Aiders, Muster Points and location of emergency equipment e.g. First Aid Kits etc )
