Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Alarms

  • Does the property have smoke detectors fitted on each floor?

  • Are there any solid fuel burning appliances within the property?

  • Are there Carbon Monoxide alarm(s) situated in the same room as the appliance(s)?

  • Landlords are now required to ensure that there are working Carbon Monoxide alarms situated in any room with a solidfuel burning appliance. I recommend that you contact your property manager in order to arrange to have alarms fitted as required.

    In addition to the above we recommend that all solid fuel burning appliances be serviced once a year. Your property manager can arrange this for you.
