Main checklist

1. Housekeeping

  • a. wet, greasy, or dusty floors.

  • b. Waste accumulation.

  • c. Material stored.

  • d. All floor opening covered, no trailing cable

  • e. Adequate lighting

2. Proper Access and Egress

  • a. Handrails available at top of access ladder.

  • b. All equipment and control panel easily accessible.

  • c. Access & Egress maintained unobstructed.

  • d. Access restricted to unauthorized person / locked

  • Door lock damaged

  • e. Any other hazard i.e. trip, slip, fall etc.

3. Electrical Equipment

  • a. Cables free from damage & protected from being damaged

  • b. Connections are properly made and proper plugs used

4. Guards

  • c. Unauthorized sign displayed

  • d. Dangerous, caution, PPE signs displayed

  • e. Lock-out and Tag-out sign available

  • f. Displayed signage for firefighting equipment
