Trading Floor

  • 1 - Is the welcome strip free from discolouration?

  • 2 - Has all polish splash been removed from all edging around the front of the store?

  • 3 - Has the trolley bay/bays been fully stripped to remove all marks from the main floor area? Has edges, corners and around bump rails been fully detailed? Polish to be remvoed off the base of the chrome feet and slurry to be removed from walls/glass partitions.

  • 11 - Is the detailing of edges and corners of the trading floor to the required standard EG. No discolouration, dirt or old polish build up

  • 12 - If the floor has been stripped, have under all gondolas been stripped and cleaned thoroughly especially in the middle and around centre feet (check under all gondolas)

  • 13 - If the floor has been partially stripped and cut back, has the team taken advantage of expansion joint cut-offs? Where there are no expansion joints, is the cut-off line neat, straight and well blended? Are front and back aisle cut-offs 2 meters into the aisles?

  • 14 - Have expansion strips been detailed, free of discolouration, tarnish and all embedded dirt removed?

  • 15 - Is under all high produce and bakery bunks stripped to remove all marks, dirt and discolouration?

  • 16 - Have stockroom runways been fully detailed, around door hinges, edges, corners. Include the vinyl inside the stockroom where applicable?

  • 17 - Have the black or grey refrigeration strip been thoroughly stripped and detailed prior to being polished? (Pay particular attention to edges and corners)

  • 18 - Has polish splash been removed from all vertical surfaces including glass, chrome work, refrigeration kick plates, gondola legs, walls, doors and aluminum partitions?

  • 19 - Has around the base of all chrome feet and bollards been detailed prior to polish being applied and polish splash removed from all chrome bollards?

Office and Team Member Amenities

  • 20 - Where applicable, has the vinyl floors in locker rooms been fully stripped? Paying particular attention to edges corners, door jams, Has old polish been removed from door jams and all vertical surfaces (Store to remove lockers where possible)

  • 21 - Where applicable have all offices, hallways and tea rooms been fully stripped with particular attention being paid to edges, corners, door jams. Were fridges pulled out and floors detailed underneath (Ensure there is no stripper/polish splash on any vertical surfaces including skirting boards)

  • 22 - Where applicable have all stairs been stripped. Pay particular attention to discolouration, polish residue under tread strips, edges, corners, vertical vinyl tread fronts and sides of walls

General

  • 23 - Has the cleaners area and polish storage area (if applicable) been left safe, clean & tidy?

  • 24 - Has the scrubber and cleaning equipment been left clean including waste tank and squeegee blades?
