Site walkthrough

  • Ensure all areas that require access have been walked through to identify any risks. Take particular attention to any new or on-going works and agree to stop and re-assess if anything changes or new risks are identified.

Pre-Assessment questions:

  • Have I got the correct personal gas detector? Do I need a permit? - if so do I understand and have I mitigated all of the risks identified. Do I need a separate risk assessment for any of the work, i.e. confined space? Is lone working mitigated? Do I need a second safety person? Has the customer advised of any hazards? Is asbestos present? Is 240V connected to relays/outputs?

  • Have all of the pre-assessment questions been taken note of and actions taken to mitigate any risks?

  • Please add notes to advise of the outcome and report problems to customer. If the work is not safe then put 'Unsafe - stop work' in the response.
