  • What type of maintenance?

  • Inspect machine for damage and clear obstructions

  • Check machine for loose bolts, screws and nuts (tighten as necessary)

  • Clean off excess grease

  • Wipe and clean machine

  • Clean die and cutting area

  • Check the head for smooth travel and moving clamp when running

  • Inspect air pressure and oil level in lubrocator

  • Check the correct functionality of the oil cooler (pump and fan working?)

  • Inspect belt for proper tension (do not over tension, belt will not shift)

  • While belt is moving, verify it's centering, paying attention to avoid any lateral contact with material guides

  • Inspect the air pressure and lubricator (1 drop of oil every 15-20 cycles)

  • Lubricate slides for index and fixed clamps with light oil

  • Tighten all screws, bolts, and nuts as necessary

  • Check the correct function of safety devices, light curtains, e-stop buttons, and guards

  • PNEUMATIC CIRCUIT

  • Pneumatic Circuit : CAUTION TURN OFF AIR SUPPLY!

  • Check the oil level in the lubricant filter unit tank. Is level ok?

  • If necessary, remove the plug and refill the tank with one of the following oils. Note that during normal operation, the lubricant filter unit delivers a drop of oil every 15-20 minutes. It is possible to adjust this time by turning the screw on the unit.

  • ISO OR UNI FD 22 (ENERGOL HLP 22 (BP)

  • SPINESSO 22 (ESSO)

  • MOBIL DTE 22 (MOBIL)

  • TELLUS OIL 22 (SHELL)

  • HYDRAULIC CIRCUIT

  • Hydraulic Circuit (during normal operations, oil temperature must stay between 30°c and 50°c)

  • Check the oil level gauge situated on the right side of press. Is level ok?

  • If necessary, remove the plug and fill the tank with one of the following oils

  • ISO 46 (ENERGOL HLP 46 (BP))

  • NUTO H 46 (ESSO)

  • AZOLLA 46 (TOTAL)

  • OSO 46 (AGIP)

  • MOBIL DTE 46 (MOBIL)

  • TELLUS OIL 46 (SHELL)

  • Every approximately 4000 working hours it is advisable to clean the oil filter located inside the tank with compressed air. Replace the filter every 8000 working hours. Every 500 working hours, change the hydraulic unit.

  • FILTER/REGULATOR/LUBRICATOR (FRL)

  • Check the oil level and refill as necessary

  • Adjust lubricator- one drop of oil every 15 cycles of the machine

  • Air pressure - 90 PSI (6 BARS)

  • OIL COOLER

  • Remove dirt and dust from heat transfer surface by brushing the fins and tubes and blowing loose dirt off with air hose. If the surface is greasy, the motor should be removed and the fins and tubes brushed or sprayed with a mild alkaline solution or a non flammable degreasing fluid. Follow with a hot water rinse, and dry thoroughly.

  • Remove dirt and grease from casing, fan, and motor. Rusty or corroded surfaces should be sanded clean and repainted.

  • Remove dirt and grease from outside surface of electric motor so motor will cool properly. Make sure cooling air over is not obstructed.

  • Inspect unit for loose bolts and connections, rust, corrosion, and dirty or clogged heat transfer surface (cooling cool)

  • Lubricate the moving mechanical parts with a light machine oil

  • Grease all bearings and rollers every 900 hours using Shell Alvania #2 Grease

  • Inspect the belt for wear and proper tension

  • Clean all surfaces

  • Inspect filter regulator lubricator for proper pressure and oil level. If low, add Tellus Oil 22 or a 22 grade pneumatic oil

  • Remove the side panel and check the set screws on the main shafts that activates the head for compression

  • Clean and inspect oil filter

  • Wipe and clean tank

  • Replace the oil filter after 8000 hours if necessary
