Heritage/Flora and Fauna

  • Control or prevent spread of weeds

  • Vehicle access is restricted to designated tracks and roads.

  • Vehicle and plant tyres inspected and cleaned between site movements to minimise weed dispersal

Access and Traffic Management

  • Erosion and sediment control devices are in place and working satisfactorily.

Soil Impacts/Dieback Hygiene Requirements

  • Cover stockpiled soil and separate topsoil.

  • Vehicles have been cleaned prior to site entry.

  • In Dieback areas, control measures for plant and equipment have been developed and implemented.

  • Minimise compaction of topsoil due to use of heavy machinery.

Air Quality

  • Plant used on site emits acceptable volumes of smoke from exhaust.

  • Keep loose surfaces on site damp in windy weather.

  • Excess soil is promptly disposed of and/or covered reduce dust impacts.

  • Truck trays have been covered when transporting dry material.

  • No burning of waste materials has occurred on site.

Noise Control

  • Plant is used responsibly in order to reduce construction noise levels.

  • Work hours have been restricted to the agreed times of operation

  • Neighbours have been notified if activity is likely to have an impact, or if work outside normal hours of work is planned.

Fire Control

  • Relevant Fire Bans are complied with (i.e. no hot works on total fire ban days without permit).

  • Flammable materials are stored in clearly signed, secure area.

  • No open fires have been allowed on site.

Hazardous Substances

  • Maintain a register of all hazardous substances kept on site.

  • Material Safety Data Sheets are held for each hazardous substance used/stored on site.

Waste Management and Disposal

  • Maintain a Waste Management Register recording the type, quantity and location of waste reused, recycled, stockpiled and disposed of.

  • Worksite is in a clean, rubbish-free state.

  • Plant and equipment has been inspected for fuel, oil or hydraulic fluid leaks.

  • Plant and equipment with known fuel/oil leaks have been repaired before being utilised.

  • On-site refuelling and servicing is conducted within a bunded area at least 20m from natural or built drainage lines.

  • Wastes stored on site are appropriately contained (e.g. bins have lids where required).

  • All waste is disposed of in accordance with legal requirements.

  • Ensure waste is transported securely (and by appropriately licenced contractors where necessary).

  • All waste materials and/or liquids removed from site in a timely manner.
