  • Residual current devices (RCD) are installed at switchboards or fixed into sockets.

  • Portable RCD device is available and has been tested.

  • Flexible cord, plugs and extension leads are in good condition and have either moulded or transparent type plugs.

  • Isolation valves / switches are readily accessible and clearly labelled.

  • Faulty equipment is tagged out. (Tags are available?)

Personal Protective Equipment

  • PPE available, well maintained and in good order.

  • Signage of PPE requirements displayed on equipment and buildings.

Chemical Aspects

  • MSDS are available for workers reference

  • Chemicals and fertilisers separated according to compatibility and stored separately

Machinery and Plant

  • Are safe work method statements / signs clearly visible?

  • Work area is organized for the safety of the mobile plant operator and pedestrians. (Safe walkways on floor?)

  • Emergency stops tested and are working.

  • Where moveable guards are provided, they prevent operation of the machinery when open

  • Warning signs and decals are clearly visible.
