Competition Playing Surface

Physical survey of the grounds (walk around).

Ensure that spectators and vehicles are kept clear of the competition and warm up areas.

Check the site for hazards, and implement controls as necessary.

Grounds correctly marked and correct equipment provided.

Protective padding in place (if applicable).

Adequate dressing sheds and number of toilets; daily cleaning provided.

Adequate safe seating, shade/shelter for spectators and participants.

Suitable catering and provision of water facilities.

Adequate PA system – able to be heard throughout the venue.

Competition/Event Equipment

Mechanism to check venue condition and playing equipment.

Type of Cricket Ball appropriate for player skills and protective equipment available.

Policy Requirements

The event conforms with requirements in Queensland Cricket Policies.

Management of Serious Incident Procedures communicated (QC Talent Pathways Medical Plan Protocol etc.)

Plans to counter extreme and bad weather in place at QC Talent Pathways Championships. (Indoor, Re-schedule etc.)

Supervision Arrangements (Playing Venue)

Plan for supervised transport to and from the Playing Venue from Private or QC arranged accommodation.

Arrangements in place while teams warm-up.

Arrangements in place for spectators at Playing Venue.

Adequate ratio of coaches/QC Staff supervising adults to children.

Accommodation Arrangements (QC Arranged Accommodation)

Plan for supervised accommodation during QC Talent Pathways Championships.

Players staying in QC arranged accommodation, parents have acknowledged this via a consent form.

Appropriate facilities are available that allow gender separation for sleeping, toileting, showering and changing.

All players/officials/QC Staff have completed a Safety Fire/Hazard induction by accommodation staff prior to entering facility.

Adequate ratio of coaches/QC Staff supervising adults to children.

Child-related Employment (Blue Card etc.)

Have child-related employment checks procedure being carried out on officials/QC Staff.

Where necessary, have contractors and others involved provided copies of blue cards.

First-Aid Arrangements

First-Aid facility available on-site.

First-Aid officers readily available.

Talent Pathway Coordinator (TPC) has been provided with the emergency contact details and any medical conditions of players in Championship.

TPC has provided all officials with contact details of emergency medical facilities and arrangements throughout the Championship.

TPC/QC Staff have access to mobile phones.

Emergency contact details are available to those who may need access (otherwise confidential).
