  • PAT testing records, date marked or tagged on equipment?

Plant / Equipment

  • Lifting equipment, including MEWPs and Cherry Pickers, cranes, hoists, marked with SWL, competent person available for lifting operations, test certificates available?

  • Compressors, generators, mixers, saws, drills, guards, used in safe location, suitable PPE worn?

  • Are Lasers being used on site?

  • Are they Class 1 or Class 2?

  • Are extra safety precautions in place for this class of Laser?

  • Work must be stopped immediately until the correct safety precautions are in place.

Fire Precautions

  • Is there a fire detection system in place?

  • Emergency exits suitably signed, kept clear of obstructions, assembly point signed?

  • Fire extinguishers available, inspected?

  • Emergency plans, sufficient detail, location marked on plan?

  • Are Hotworks being carried out on site?

  • Is there a Hotworks Permit System in place? (If no, work must stop immediately)

  • Are the works being carried out in accordance with the permit?

  • Is the correct fire extinguisher being used?

First Aid

  • First Aider or Appointed persons on site, deputies in case of absence?

  • First Aid box stocked?

  • Firat Aid point easily seen?

  • Location of nearest A&E hospital known?

  • Is there a Defibrilator on site?

Traffic Management

  • Is the works area seperated from plant/vehicles?

  • Are there padestrian routes?

  • Are all other QMUL site rules being followed?

  • Is the QMUL issue reporting QR Code posted and visible?
