Radio Hut checklist

  • Is radio hut previously locked?

  • Is all personnel entering the radio hut wearing the required safety gear?

  • Are there any signs of unauthorised access or tampering with the hut's entry points?

  • Are all communication equipment, including two-ways radios, base station radios, and repeaters, operational?

  • Housekeeping is maintained, no trip hazards in walkways, doors are clear of obstruction

  • Are backup power sources(e.g generators or batteries) in good working conditions?

  • Generator Engine oil - measure oil level by oil checker

  • Overall condition appearance of equipment (controls, leaks, loose wires etc)

  • Are all cables and connections secure and free from damage?

  • Do emergency lighting and fire extinguishers function as intended?

  • Is the temperature and humidity inside the radio hut within acceptable ranges(<24 degree)?

  • Are there any signs of water leaks, and is the roof and walls free from damage?

  • Is the hut adequately ventilated to prevent overheating of electronic equipment?

  • Are all safety procedures and emergency evacuation plans posted inside the hut?

  • Are first aid supplies and an eye wash station readily available?

  • Has any equipment malfunction or safety concern been reported to the designated supervisor or maintenance team?

  • Has the interior of the hut been cleaned and organized to prevent dust or debris buildup?
