Bump IN Event Safety Checklist

  • Stairs to floor either pushed in or gates/wood in place?

  • Check floor, loading dock and backstage for slips/ trips/ fall hazards?

  • Is lighting in all work areas adequate?

  • Is temperature and airflow is regulated and adequate for working especially in roof space?

  • Truck parking plan discussed with relevant production contact?

  • Has ops checked in with gate keeper to discuss truck management and parking?

  • Are access route/gates clear for production and emergency services access?

  • Blind corners where vehicles pass have been eliminated or sign posted?

  • Are all departments toolboxes completed (MOP, Production, Rigging, other) spot check undertaken and noted below?

  • Are risk assessments undertaken and documented for any unusual/high risk work (i.e hot works)?

  • Are all staff inducted and aware for the hazard reporting procedures? Spot check and note below..

  • Any incidents and/or near misses are documented and entered into IMS?

  • Area all warning systems (lighting and signage) in place, working and not obscured? (Includes rigging lights, work zones signs, forklift & Vehicle warning signs)

  • MOP PPE requirements, House PPE accessible including hard hats, hi vis & Ear plugs?

  • Are all staff are compliant with MOP PPE requirements? if not note below.

  • First Aid staff on site as per event safety plan?

  • First Aid kits in place stocked and clearly signposted?

  • Housekeeping - Are all storage areas are tidy with equipment safely stacked and not causing obstruction? All departments.

  • Is all firefighting and spill equipment in place, functioning & unobscured?

  • Emergency egress - Are all doors clear of obstruction, functioning and well lit? Nothing holding open fire doors. <br>

  • Are all Emergency EXIT signs are operational?

  • Area all Emergency assembly points checked and clear of obstruction and hazards?

  • Electrical safety - Spot check undertaken of MOP and/or Production equipment for Test and Tag Compliance? Note item below..

  • Are all rigging, weights and scaffolding work signed off and supervised by MOP Head Rigger and spotters?
