  • Good Evening - PRAISE THE LORD!!! The following is a step by step outline of your responsibilities for the security of the building. We ask that as you complete each step listed below, press "Done" on completed step. In the event that circumstances dictate that a particular step cannot be done then press “Not Done” next to the step and provide a written explanation in the area designated “COMMENTS.” * Also note the asterisks at the end of certain steps. More details for these steps are included on the Building Security Procedures Addendum.

I. RESPONSIBILITIES PRIOR TO THE 7:30 PM SERVICE1 REPORT FOR DUTY NO LATER THAN 6:00 PM NO ONE IS TO BE ADMITTED BEFORE THE SCHEDULED BUILDING OPENING UNLESS PRIOR AUTHORIZATION HAS BEEN GIVEN.

  • 1. Enter the RLCC Annex through the side double doors next to the alarm. Make sure the alarm is disengaged. Proceed to the Annex Office.

  • 2. Building Security persons are to pick up the Building Security Checklist Portfolio and the cell phone from the key box closet in the Annex Office.

  • 3. Obtain key sets #1 - #4, #32 and #56 from the key box and sign out in the key log. Please refer to key legend in key box for distribution of keys.

  • 4. Turn off the lights and lock all doors leading into the Annex Office. NOTE: THIS AREA IS TO REMAIN LOCKED.

  • 5. Proceed to the RLCC Administrative Office. Turn on the lights in the RLCC entrance foyer, and the exterior overhang lights.

  • 6. DO NOT UNLOCK THE MAIN ENTRANCE DOORS TO THE RLCC ENTRANCE FOYER AT THIS TIME.

  • 7. Turn on the lights in the inner lobby. DO NOT TURN ON THE WATERFALL (SINGLE SWITCH TO THE FAR LEFT NEXT TO LOBBY ENTRANCE) UNTIL YOU COMPLETE STEP 20.

  • 8. Proceed to the Sound Room. Go to Breaker Panel C. Turn on all breakers marked with red tape.

  • 9. Slowly turn on dimmers #1 and #2. Turn on the aisle lights located to the right of the dimmer switches. Do not turn on the coach lights unless directed.

  • 10. Turn on the lights in the East Wing hallway and the Men’s and Ladies restrooms and restroom foyers. The thermostat is preset.. If adjustment is necessary, please refer to the thermostat settings chart in the Building Security Checklist Portfolio. The thermostat will automatically return to its original predetermined setting.

  • 11. Proceed down the hallway and close the double doors leading to the Annex. Lock the door to the Staff Lunch Room. Close all stairway doors.

  • 12. Go to the Sanctuary. Verify the correct time with the Sanctuary clock.

  • 13. All thermostats in the Sanctuary are preset. If adjustments are necessary, please refer to the thermostat settings chart in the Building Security Checklist Portfolio. The thermostat will automatically return to its original predetermined setting.

  • 14. Close the double doors leading to the red carpeted area next to Kenneth Hagin Hall. Leave on the lights in the red carpeted area. Make sure the stairway door leading to the second floor is closed.

  • 15. Unlock the door to the Family Restrooms opposite the Warrick Room, however do not turn on the lights and exhaust fans.

  • 16. Proceed to the Anna Suite. Turn on the lights in the stairway and tunnel areas. DO NOT TURN ON THE LIGHT IN FRONT OF THE DOOR LEADING TO THE ANNA SUITE FOYER.

  • 17. Check safe in Counting Room. Make sure it is open.

  • 18. Proceed to Electrical Room and turn on all emergency light switches. NOTE: SWITCHES MAY NOT BE IN THE SAME POSITION OR ILLUMINED IN THE “OFF” POSITION. THIS DOOR IS TO REMAIN CLOSED AND LOCKED DURING SERVICE.

  • 19. Turn on lights in the West Wing hallway and the Men’s and Ladies restrooms and restroom foyers. The thermostat is preset. If adjustment is necessary, please refer to the thermostat settings chart in the Building Security Checklist Portfolio. The thermostat will automatically return to its original predetermined setting.

  • 20. Check the water level in the waterfall. The water should be just below the rim (1 inch). If it is not, add distilled water until it is at the appropriate level. Get spray bottle with distilled water from the Hosts/Hostesses supply closet. Turn on the waterfall then spray any dry spots on the slate. MAKE SURE THE PLANT LEAVES ARE NOT TOUCHING THE ROCKS ON THE WATERFALL.

  • 21. Turn on the lights in the Executive Office reception area. The lamps are to be turned to the lowest setting, unless instructed otherwise. Turn on the chandelier and dim halfway. Check the mints in the ceramic jar on the table. If the mints need to be replenished, obtain a container from the Hosts/Hostesses closet. If the supply is low, indicate on the Building Security Checklist. Unlock the inner door of the Executive Suite and the door leading into Pastor Sarah’s office. Turn on the lights in Pastor’s Sarah’s office if a Guest Speaker is scheduled. The outer Executive Office door is to remain locked. The door is unlocked when the AP persons arrive and are stationed outside the Executive Office.

  • 22. At 6:15 pm, open the exit door in the West Wing corridor for the Hosts, Hostesses, FFBS Staff, Media Staff, Leadership and their spouses and dependent children 12 years old and under.

  • 23. Distribute keys to appropriate persons. Record the names of the persons receiving keys and the corresponding key number.

  • 24. If necessary, unlock the door for the Faith Food Bookstore when at least two FFBS staff persons arrive.

  • 25. 6:45 p.m. is the meeting time in the Sanctuary for the Hosts & Hostesses, including fiancés, spouses and dependent children 12 years old and under.

  • 26. Obtain the two-way radio from the Hosts/Hostesses closet.

  • 27. The recording slips for New Converts/Needs, General Attendance, Baptism of the Holy Spirit and First Time Guests are to be given to the appropriate persons. Please instruct the persons to return the recording slips to you before he leaves the facility following the service.

  • 28. Obtain the water for the pastors/speakers/musicians from the Warrick Room Kitchen by 7:15 p.m.*

  • 29. At 7:00 p.m., unlock the outer entrance doors to the RLCC foyer and the doors leading to the inner lobby. The general congregation may enter at this time and proceed to the Sanctuary.

  • 30. If ministers from daughter churches are attending the service and the AP persons are not available, take their coats and hang them in the Executive Office.*

  • 31. Check all doors leading to the Annex Office area. Make sure they are locked.

  • 32. Turn off the lights in the RLCC Administrative Office and make sure the doors are locked.

  • 33. Turn off the lights in Quads I and II. Leave the double doors closed.

  • 34. After the Pastors and Guests leave the Executive Office, dim the lights in Pastor Sarah’s office and lock the outer Executive Office door. This door is to remain locked during service.

II. RESPONSIBILITIES DURING THE 7:30 PM SERVICE

  • 35. One Building Security is to remain in and monitor the lobby with the ministry’s cell phone. The other Building Security person is to remain inside the Sanctuary with the two-way radio. Be seated in Section G where you can see the Pastor in charge’s signals for adjusting the thermostats.

  • 36. The Building Security person in the Sanctuary will accompany the Head Host to the Counting Room to secure the offering as well as unlocking and relocking the Counting Room door (please refer to the Procedures for Securing Offerings).

  • 37. Make sure all stairway doors are closed during service.

  • 38. The Building Security person assigned to the Sanctuary is to unlock the doors to the FFBS to admit the Media Staff.

  • 39. Open the doors between the RLCC lobby and entrance foyer.

III. RESPONSIBILITIES AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE 7:30 PM

  • 51. Go into the Electrical Room. Make sure exit door is locked and turn off all the light switches (exception: if Pastor Sarah has not returned to the Anna Suite, leave the rear hallway emergency light switch on). NOTE: THE SWITCHES SHOULD BE ILLUMINED WHEN TURNED OFF.

  • 52. Come out of the Electrical Room and make sure double doors outside electrical room are locked. Make sure exit doors behind Section “C” are locked.

  • 53. Go to the West Wing Hallway. Make sure the double exit door is locked. Turn off the lights in Men’s and Ladies restrooms, restroom foyers and hallway.

  • 54. Go to Sound Room. Turn off dimmers #1 and #2 and the aisle lights. Go to the Breaker Box “C” and turn off all other breakers with the red tape. Check to make sure that the circuit breakers for the stage lights are turned off. Turn off lights and make sure door is locked.

  • 55. Check to make sure all lights are turned off and all doors locked on the second floor (Quad IV only).

  • 56. Check basement and garage. PAY PARTICULAR ATTENTION TO MAKE SURE BOTH GARAGE ROLL-UP DOORS ARE SECURELY LOCKED. Make sure all lights are off and doors are locked (this includes the basement elevator lobby).

  • 57. Turn off lights in Quad III and the Staff Lunch Room. Check both restrooms to ensure lights are turned off. Lock the door to the Staff Lunch Room.

  • 58. Go back to the RLCC lobby. Proceed down the East Wing hallway. Make sure double doors leading into the Annex are closed. Turn off the lights in Men’s and Ladies restrooms, restroom foyers and hallway.

  • 59. Clean up any food, store snacks and wash dishes used by the Pastors and Guests in Pastor Sarah’s office, if necessary.*

  • 60. After the Pastors have exited the building, check the three Executive Offices. Turn off all lights. Make sure all the doors are locked. CHECK THE THERMOSTATS; MAKE SURE THEY DO NOT READ, “HOLD.” IF THEY DO, PRESS THE “RUN PROGRAM” BUTTON. Make sure the skylights are closed. Also make sure the screen over the exit door is closed and the fireplace in Pastor Sarah’s office is turned off.

  • 61. Turn off lights in lobby. Exit the lobby and lock all of the doors.

  • 62. Go to the Administrative Office. Turn off lights in the entrance foyer. Make sure the doors to the offices are locked. DO NOT CLOSE OR LOCK THE DOORS TO THE MAIL AND DUPLICATION ROOMS. Turn off all lights, exit the Administrative Office and lock the doors.<br><br>NOTE: THE BURGLAR ALARM IS TO BE ARMED USING THE KEYPAD IN THE ANNEX LOBBY.

  • 63. Check to be sure that the main entrance doors in the RLCC foyer are secured.

  • 64. Turn off lights in Quad I.

  • 65. Go to the Annex Office area; make sure all doors to the offices (including Conference Room) are locked. Lock the two (2) doors between the Annex Office and the hallway and the door between the Annex office and the lobby.

  • 66. Go to the key box, return key sets #1- #4, #32, #56 and any other key sets you may have distributed. Lock the key box, sign keys back in key log.

  • 67. If you finish your duties and the Pastors are still in the Executive Suite, check with them to determine if you are needed prior to leaving the facility.

  • 68. Prior to exiting the building, check the parking lot for ministry vehicles. If the Pastors are still in the building, check with them to determine if any vehicles will be used. Any vehicles not in use are to be moved to the garage.

  • 69. Record the attendance number and other counts in the appropriate recording slips. Place the New Believer Card(s) in the blue two-pocket folder labeled “New Convert Cards” located in the Building Security Checklist Portfolio.

  • 40. Place the high chair in the lobby for the speaker, if needed. Also place a chair in the lobby for Pastor Sarah, if necessary.

  • 41. Unlock the door to the Executive Office and open the doors leading into the inner offices and Pastor Sarah’s office. Remain at the Executive Office to assist the Pastors and/or Guest Ministers until relieved by the Elders/Deacons on A.P. then position yourself in front of the center Sanctuary doors next to the offering box.* PLEASE NOTE: EITHER THE BUILDING SECURITY OR AP PERSONS MUST REMAIN AT THE EXECUTIVE OFFICE DOOR WHILE UNLOCKED.

  • 42. Unlock the door to the Executive Office. Remain at the Executive Office to assist the Pastors or Guest Minister until relieved by the A.P. Persons and then position yourself in front of the center Sanctuary doors next to the Offering Box.

  • 43. When service is dismissed, if necessary, the Building Security person assigned to the Sanctuary opens the FFBS to admit the FFBS staff. the Building Security person assigned to the Sanctuary opens the FFBS to admit the FFBS staff.

  • 44. One of the Building Security persons is responsible for taking the offering box to the Counting Room accompanied by two other persons (please refer to Procedures for Securing Offerings). Place the appropriate laminate card on top of the Offering Box.

  • 45. Return all used and unused water bottles, goblets, tray, etc. to the Warrick Room Kitchen. Wash used goblets and return to the cabinet.*

  • 46. Retrieve the keys distributed in Step 23.

  • 47. Make sure lights in the Warrick Room are turned off and doors locked. Turn off the lights in the Quad IV hallway (light switch in red carpeted area).

  • 48. Turn off lights in red carpeted area. Close the double doors leading from the red carpeted area next to Kenneth Hagin Hall. Turn off lights and exhaust fans in the Family Restroom and lock the door.

  • 49. Turn off the lights in the stairway and tunnel areas in the Anna Suite.

  • 50. If Pastor Sarah is in attendance and the lights in the Sanctuary are turned off, turn on the light in front of the Anna Suite.
