1st fix plumbing

Soils and waste pipe.

  • Soil stacks fitted to manufacturers instruction with minimal bands at low level, clipped minimum 2 per story.

  • Waste pipe fitted correctly adequate support and fitted to minimum falls.

  • All soils and waste to avoid touching any other materials where possible, otherwise wrapped with a suitable material to separate.

  • All penetrations made through walls or joists within correct drilling zones.

  • All final soil and waste positions correct to builders drawings.

  • Soils pre tested to 38mm ready for pre plaster inspection.

Service pipework installation.

  • All plastic and copper pipework supported correctly.

  • Pipework correctly located in bathrooms and kitchen.

  • All pipework sized as per builders design.

  • Pipework installed neatly in straight lines.

  • Separation between hot and cold services, lagged when passing over is unavoidable.

  • Plastic pipework in walls made identifiable with metal detection tape as per builders spec.

  • Copper pipework chased in blockwork as per builders spec.

  • Radiator feeds to avoid common fixing points.

  • Primary's fully lagged as per building regs.

  • Hot and cold identification with either clips or approved talon ID tape.

  • All plumbing pipework pressure tested to manufacturers instruction and witnessed by site team.

Gas installation.

  • Gas to be sized correctly considering size of boiler, length of run and other appliances.

  • Gas pipe to be supported adequately and to be wrapped through joists to dampen noise with noise movement.

  • Gas pipe to be identified with yellow gas tape.

  • Gas pipework chased in clockwork walls to be mucked in ( site dependent if done by others).

  • Gas pipe to be tested minimum 1 bar for 30 mins.

Protection and house keeping.

  • All shower trays protected as per site spec ( protection provided by site).

  • All pipe ends capped with either silicone caps or tape.

  • Pipe ends secured in place or clipped back to avoid trip hazards.

  • Additional notes.

2nd Fix Plumbing

2nd Fix Heating

  • Radiators to be fitted level and in a central position with minimal pipe showing. Plastic wrapping left on radiators for protection.

  • Towel rails to be fitted level with straight pipe connections.

  • Boiler to be fitted neatly in accordance with gas safe, with flue complete.

  • Cylinder ( if required) fitted neatly in cupboard with isolation valves, with consideration for lagging.

  • TRV's fitted to all radiators except rooms with a thermostat installed.

  • Gas pipe for hob turned up and capped ( if required).

  • Connect gas to meter and complete tightness test, ensuring sleeve is sealed.

Sanitaryware

  • Sanitaryware installed correctly using all fixing points.

  • Bath to be fitted to accommodate Bath panel and level. Weight distributors under feet to be a minimum of 25mm x 100mm timber. Bath feet secured to floor and Bath sealed to walls.

  • Glassware to be fitted to manufacturers instructions.

  • Shower fitted with riser rail to accommodate shower head centre.

  • Kitchen sink pipework to be fitted to water regs, neat and fixed correctly leaving services for appropriate appliances.

  • All outlets tested to overflow to ensure correct fitting.

Filling and testing.

  • Fill system before making good and paint.

  • Check hot and cold feeds are correct at all outlets.

  • Fill heating system leaving the radiator closest to the filling loop shut down with inhibator installed.

  • Complete heat test, checking all zones are correct and working individually.

  • Check bath tempreture doesn't exceed 48°c.

Protection and house keeping.

  • All excess material to be removed from plot.

  • All protection installed (provided by site).

  • Any damages to plumbing fixtures or fittings.

  • Addition notes.

Plumbing finals

Finals.

  • Rossetts to be fitted as per builders spec.

  • Toilet seats to be fitted on all toilets, boxing to be left on for protection.

  • Lagging fitted as per builders spec.

  • Labels to be fitted in sink and airing cupboard.

  • Boiler commissioned Benchmark book filled out and copies taken for registration, book left with site team.

  • Cylinder ( where required) commissioned Benchmark book filled out and copies taken for registration, book left with site team.

  • Outside tap fitted and tested.

  • Whole system checked for leaks and system left on frost protection.

  • Open up the last radiator which has the inhibator in.

  • Complete adey pro check.

Additional notes and protection.

  • Any excess material removed from plot.

  • Any damages to plumbing fixtures and fitting.
