Electrical Safety

  • Extension Cords are in good condition and not causing trip hazards or used inappropriately

  • Power Tools are undamaged and being used fit for purpose

  • Lock out/Tag out perform

  • Proper locks and tags in use

Cranes and Rigging/Signaling

  • Rigging inspected for damage and capacity tags

  • Hooks and latches inspected

Hot Work/Fire Safety

  • Fire watch in place (1 hour after hot work is completed)

  • Fire extinguisher present near area where hot work is being performed (20 lb ABC minimum)

  • Hot work area clear of combustable materials

  • Gas Cylinders are properly stored (upright and secured when in use; caps on, regulators off, secured and separated when not.)

  • Hoses, regulators, and flashback arrestors are installed properly and free of damage

Confined Space

  • Do you wish to examine confined space safety at this inspection?

  • Entrants and attendants have training

  • Permit is in place (if required)

  • Air monitoring being performed (if required)

  • Retrieval gear and harness in use and inspected

  • Lock out/Tag out performed before entry

  • Systems locked out have proper tags and locks
