General requirements for all OSHC programs reg 173

  • Reg 173 display of provider approval information including the name of the approved provider, the approval number and any conditions of a approval.

Emergency and evacuation procedures Reg 97

  • Reg 97 the emergency and evacuation procedure must set out specific instructions for what must be done in the event on an emergency and an emergency and evacuation floor plan.

  • Reg 100 the approved provider and nominated supervisor must ensure that a risk assessment is carried out in accordance to reg 101 before an authorisation is sought from parents reg 102

  • Reg 101 risk assessment must be used to identify and assess risks that the excursion may pose, and identify how they will be managed, it must also consider staff ratios, transport arrangements, proposed attendance numbers, the proposed activities and the duration of the excursion as well included a list of items that should be taken on the excursion.

Authorisation of excursions Reg 102

  • Reg 102 the service must ensure that a child being educated and cared for by the service is not taken outside of the service premises on an excursion unless written authorisation has been provided by the child's parent and includes all information in sub regulation 4
