Reg 101 risk assessment must be used to identify and assess risks that the excursion may pose, and identify how they will be managed, it must also consider staff ratios, transport arrangements, proposed attendance numbers, the proposed activities and the duration of the excursion as well included a list of items that should be taken on the excursion.
