6) MSI Staff Agreement

AVAILABILITY AND PLANNING YOUR COACHING AND UMPIRING SESSION - AGREEMENT FORM

I agree to either provide a valid Working With Children Check Employee Card number or obtain a Working With Children Check before commencing with the Melbourne Sports Institute. I understand that once I have taken on a coaching position with a school that I am obligated to attend every scheduled training and match session. I agree that the Melbourne Sports Institute may take disciplinary action against me if I breach the code of conduct. Alleged breaches of the code of conduct will be fully investigated by the Melbourne Sports Institute and serious breaches, if proven, may lead to the termination of my coaching appointment. 6) Coach Commitment Contract

COACH COMMITMENT CONTRACT - AGREEMENT FORM

  • The Melbourne Sports Institute provide regular casual employment to students, athletes and coaches who wish to share their expertise and skills with school students through school association sports programs. Employee Duties The duties of the Melbourne Sports Institute Coach include: - Not cancelling a training or match session on the morning of the session on any ocassion. - Fulfilling the aims and objectives of the school/s in which you are employed. - Demonstrate the appropriate duty of care for all students under supervision as dictated by the school at all times. - Full completion of all coaching (training and match) sessions throughout the term/s as agreed to at the inception of your employment at Melbourne Sports Institute and as required by the school/s for which you are working. If you withdraw from the season without medical certification of your inability to continue, once you have been allocated and have committed to this allocation, you will incur a $400 administration charge (liquidated damages). - Notification prior to the Melbourne Sports Institute contract agreement of any planned or possible absences through the term. - Reasonable judgement on your ability to attend all coaching (training and match) sessions at the assigned time, taking into consideration your other commitments, various traffic conditions you are likely to encounter and public transport delays and cancellations if relevant. - Completion of all Melbourne Sports Institute and school administration tasks and when they are requested. The Melbourne Sports Institute also provides performance management procedures to assist coaches in evaluating their performance levels. These include Coach Audit reports which are completed by the Head of Sport and/or school staff during the term. These reports are designed to assess a coaches' standards regarding their: overall performance, professionalism, punctuality, coaching techniques, communication, administration, organisation and ability to adapt appropriately to the school community. All reports are reviewed by the Melbourne Sports Institute for evaluation where both coach strengths and weaknesses will be highlighted. If you understand the requirements of Melbourne Sports Institute casual staff as listed above and are able to commit to a full period of coaching (generally a minimum of one school term), PLEASE TAP 'SIGN' (TO THE RIGHT) TO WRITE YOUR SIGNATURE AND ENTER YOUR FULL NAME IN THE FIELD BELOW. 6) Guarantee of Adherance to Agreements

GUARANTEE OF ADHERENCE TO CODE OF CONDUCT AND CASUAL EMPLOYEE COMMITMENT CONTRACTS

  • The coaching and umpiring positions offered at the Melbourne Sports Institute are casual positions. These casual positions however do involve a contract set number of weeks within the school term. You must ensure that you can commit for the duration of the contract, and term, before you agree to take on any casual coaching position with the Melbourne Sports Institute. Our client schools expect the Melbourne Sports Institute to provide coaching staff that not only have the skills and experience to enhance their sport programs, but professional coaching staff that are well presented and committed to the team/s they have been allocated and will provide continuity throughout the season. If you are unable to fulfil the conditions set out in the Coach Code of Conduct with regard to your behaviour, presentation and commitment to attend every session for the entire school term then do not sign this document unless specific amendments are made.
