  • Is there a Copy of the WCB Regulations on-site?

  • Is there Safety Meeting books on-site?

  • Are the proper MSDS on-site?

  • Have all hazards & controls been identified on a JSA?

GENERAL SITE CONDITIONS

  • Scaffolds, Ladders or Manlifts are

  • Lock Out Tag Out systems are

  • Illumination of work areas are

  • Ignition control sources are

  • Site tools are considered

  • Material Storage is

  • Site has proper Warning Signs in place

  • Site has proper barricades in place

  • Danger trees have been removed

  • Crews are using proper radio communication on the roadways

  • TDG & WHMIS

  • Excavations meet full compliance with Regulations

  • Compressed gas cylinders stored properly

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT

  • Hard hats are being worn where needed

  • Safety Glasses are being worn on site

  • Cutting & Welding shields being used when cutting, grinding, or buffing

  • Hearing protection is being worn in areas over 85db

  • All crews have CSA Footwear in good condition

  • Proper Hand Protection is being worn for the task at hand

  • High Visibility Vests are being worn around Mobile Equipment

  • Flame Retardant Clothing is being worn where applicable

  • There are SCBA / SABA's on-site

EQUIPMENT CONDITION

  • Log Books are being filled out properly

  • Mobile Equipment Warning Alarms are functional

  • Seat Belts are being used

  • Glass is in good condition

  • Add media

  • Mobile Equipment Guarding is in place

  • Add media

  • Lifting Device safety latches are in place and working properly

  • Add media

  • Cables, Tag Lines, Rigging & Slings are in good condition

  • Add media

  • Lifting Devices have certification dated within last year

  • Add media

  • Mobile Equipment has proper lighting

  • Add media

FIRE & GAS PROTECTION

  • Site has adequate number of Fire Extinguishers

  • Monthly Inspections of Fire Extinguishers have been completed

  • Annual certification has been completed on all Fire Extinguishers

  • Fire Extinguishers are proper size for the task

  • Portable Gas Detection is being used

  • Portable Gas Detection is properly calibrated
