Check and ensure that all supplies are available and in reach

Wash and dry own hands

Place a protection sheet on the change table

Wear gloves

Remove the baby/child's nappy and put it in a lidded bin

Remove any clothing with urine and/or faeces on baby/child

Clean the baby/child using wipe or damp individual cloth in correct motion

Remove the paper and put in a 'hands free' lidded bin

Remove their gloves in a hygienic manner

Place a clean nappy on the child

Dress the baby/child

Wash or clean the baby/child's hands

Clean the change mat and the table

Wash and dry own hands

Interact with the baby/child during the procedure
