  • Are ladders, Safety Steps, Elevated Work Platform inspected regularly and is there an inspection schedule in place?

22 - Incident Management Policy (Manager Questions)

  • Do employees understand that they are never required to work in isolation? Working-in-Isolation, ensuring this is NOT practiced on site?

  • Management are aware of Regulator Notifiable Incidents escalation process?

  • Ask a Manager to explain the injury management process of a work related and non work related injury?

  • Can a manager explain or demonstrate they know where the WHSMS is located? ALDI's Crises Communication Manual is available /accessable to appropriately handle any critical event?

  • On site supervision is adequately available to supervise contractors? (Manager understand that its their responsibility to supervise the contractors while they perform task/job on ALDI site)

  • Do management verify Contractor's insurance, licencing, certification, Permit to Work details and site specific face-to-face induction including prior to commencement of works on ALDI site?

24 - Tag Out System Policy (Manager Questions)

  • Ask a manager what to do if a piece of equipment is identified as non-operational? Can they locate a "Do not use tag"? Are all electrical repair and maintenance works performed by a certified Electrician?

25 - Induction and Training Policy (Manager Questions)

  • All entry/exits are free from obstacles? (Does Manager perform daily Safety checks? Discussion with Mangers on reinforcing these safety checks, this can reduce risk and injuries)

  • First Aider Training & re-training is scheduled/completed for the appointed First Aider? Ask AM their process for tracking First aid expiry dates.
