First Fix

  • Cables neatly clipped in correct wiring zones?

Second Fix & Final Fix Inspection Checklist

  • Sockets/switches etc screwed back correctly, right way up & level.

  • Consumer unit installed between 1350mm and 1450mm.

  • Correct circuit breakers & blanks fitted.

  • RCBO fitted for solar.

  • Electrical outlets 100mm minimum away from hob/splash back.

  • Electrical outlets 300mm minimum away from sink bowl.

  • Smoke detectors 300mm away from wall or light fittings.

  • All electrical outlets fitted before energising.

  • Request to energise form completed and signed and lock off kit fitted on unfinished installations.

  • Vent grills 4 no. mechanical fixings and all fitted.

  • All fans connected to loft ducting and mechanically fixed.

  • Lamps to pendants installed.

  • Heating system and controls fitted and instructions given to site team.

  • All two-way lighting functional check and working correctly to circuit.

  • All fans set to correct room type.

  • Socket pips installed or given to site team if painter to masking tape sockets.

  • Socket pips installed or given to site team if painter to masking tape sockets.

  • Grid switch correctly operating correct appliances.

  • Functional testing of circuit designation.

  • End to end continuity test completed when terminating consumer unit.

  • Outside lights installed, and if not safely capped off.

  • Functional check of smoke detector interlink.

  • Smoke detector in loft fitted.

  • Customer options checked and cross-checked from options list to options drawings.

  • EVCP installed and instructions/RF cards given to site team.

  • All low voltage outlets installed.

  • Final check of circuits before energising, including appliance outlets.

  • Plot all inspection for surplus materials and left clean and tidy for following trades.
