QUALITY INSPECTION

Underlining sheets

  • Have the liner sheets been placed in correct position

  • Have the liner sheet joints been lapped and sealed

  • Have the liner sheets been fixed to the purlins at correct centres

  • Have the liner sheets been packed at the eaves beam with correct packers

  • Have the end laps of the liner at a minimum of 100mm and sealed with a 6mm x 5mm type A butyl rubber strip positioned below fixing positions parallel to the edge of the sheet.

  • Have the liner side laps been sealed with a 50mm by 1mm type A butyl rubber strip positioned centrally along the side of the lap joint

Fixings

  • Are correct fixings with washers being used with bonded washer penetrating the liner

  • Has the swarf from the fixings been removed from the liner before being covered by VCL

Verge and ridge components

  • Have solid filler blocks been located in the liner at the at the eaves to ensure adequate air tightness

  • Have solid filler blocks been located in the liner at the at the hips to ensure adequate air tightness

  • Have solid filler blocks been located in the liner at the at the ridges to ensure adequate air tightness

Vapour control layer

  • Has the vapour control layer been laid in the same direction as the liner sheets and is made continuos by lapping all joints by a minimum of 150mm

  • Has the vapour control layer been sealed with two strips of 50mm wide VCL sealing tape,centrally along the side of the lap joint

  • Are the VCL sheets continuos over ridges/hips and sealed to penetrations/abutments

Support frame

  • Have the Eurobar Extra brackets been inserted into the rail at appropriate centres and fixed, using appropriate fasteners, through the VCLand liner sheet directly to the purlins.

Halters

  • Have the appropriate halter and thermal pad been fitted to the rail at appropriate centres using the template provided by the certified holder

  • Have the pan support fillers been fitted as required to the rail between Halters, typically at ridges and eaves lines

Insulation

  • Has the first layer of mineral fibre blanket insulation been laid between and underneath the euro bar extra rail, the second layer is laid over the Eurobar Extra Rail taking care to ensure continuity and that the space is fully filled, ie no voids

External Sheets

  • Has the EUROSEAM ESA 400 sheet overlap been offered up to the first row of Halters and lowered until the sheet under lap locates over the second row of halters

  • Has the fixed point detail been completed prior to laying the next sheet

  • Has the following sheet overlaps been offered up to the laid sheet underlap and is lowered until the sheet underlaps locates over the next row of Halters

  • Has the sheet lap been secured using the mechanical seaming tool

Verge and ridge components

  • Have the ridge,perimeter and eaves fittings been fixed
