After entering the room, check
Room smells pleasant?
Door opens and closes securely and quietly?
Signage – DND, Evac. Plan & Fire Notice sign present, clean & damage free?
Door – clean, with dust free door closer?
As you walk around the room, check
Lights – all working with clean light switches?
Carpet – floor, edges & corners clean & hoovered, no trip hazards?
Skirting boards & Walls – visibly clean, no marks & damage free?
Moving onto the wardrobe, check
No high level dust or rubbish across all shelves / levels & the coat rail?
Coat hangers – Six, damage free & as per Room Set Up Guide?
Towels – spare towels (if required) for the next customer?
From the wardrobe, go to the desk, check
Desk surfaces – clean , damage free with remote as per Room Set Up Guide?
Kettle, Cups & Caddie - all clean, enough for the customer, two plastic cups & all as per Room Set Up Guide?
P.O.S – clean, damage free & as per P.O.S Guide?
TV – clean & damage free?
Chair – clean, damage free & as per Room Set Up Guide?
Bin – empty with neat bin liner, clean & damage free with no stains or food around it?
With the additional areas of the room, check
Window(s), window sill & curtains – clean, damage free , “No Smoking” sticker in place & if the windows open, do the window restrictor(s) work?
Heater – clean, dust & damage free?
Mirror(s) & Picture (if applicable) – clean & damage free?
Move onto the bed(s), check
Linen – clean, as per Room Set Up Guide & no visible rejects?
Pillows – as per Room Set Up Guide?
Runner – clean, damage free & as per Room Set Up Guide?
Mattress – check top left corner of bed for mattress protector?
Is the mattress turning up to date?
Under the bed – is it clean?
Bed base – clean, damage free & truckle beds stowed away neatly?
Sofabed (unmade) – clean, damage free & as per Room Set Up Guide?
Sofabed / Truckle Bed (made) – mattress protector on, with clean linen & no visible rejects?
Move into the bathroom, check
Shower Curtain – clean both sides, damage free & as per Room Set Up Guide?
Bath plug & drain– clean, hair free & in place?
Tiles – clean & damage free?
Towel rail – clean, damage free with towel tag & towels?
Finally, still in the bathroom, check
Taps –buffed & straightened?
Toilet roll – 2 toilet rolls with a buffed toilet roll holder?
Sink plug & drain – clean, hair free & in place?
Mirror & vanity unit – clean & damage free, with sanitary bags as per Room Set Up Guide?
Soap dispensers – is there soap in them, clean & damage free?
Toilet – damage free, works & clean inside & out?
Floor – floor, edges & corners clean & hoovered, no trip hazards?
Bin – empty with neat bin liner, clean & damage free?
Setup for success
Include details of orders outstanding to be escalated to the Procurement team
Are all guest room cleaners in uniform and wearing name badges?
Based on the buffer stock levels document, does the hotel have sufficient available?
Upload photo's of any trolleys on the corridors during the visit
Upload photo's of any cleaning caddies in use during the visit
Upload photo's of the linen rooms on site
