STORMWATER ASSET ITP Includes Pipe Culverts, Box Culverts, Open Channels, Pits and Headwalls.

  • Lot Identification
    To assist with identifying each Lot, it is suggested that each of the following is a Lot:
    inlet pit, junction pit, head wall, pipe reach from pit-to-pit, box culvert reach, open channel reach.

  • Asset Description

  • If a precast pit/headwall, confirm the pit, lintel and grate conform to the drawing.

  • Pit foundation is sound

  • Plan Location is per the drawing.

  • Enter the Gutter RL and the variance, if any, from the drawing.

  • Enter the Invert RL and the variance, if any, from the drawing.

  • Pit was properly back filled I.e. With sand or aggregate.

  • If it's an in-situ pit, the Concrete Strength as shown on the delivery docket (attach a copy of the docket). If tested, attach a copy of the test result. It is suggested a strength test is taken on every three pits. Is the concrete strength per the spec?

  • The inlet lintel , grate or the pit lid was properly founded and to line and level.

  • The pit interior has been mortared and benched.

  • The pipe / culvert / channel bed is as per the drawing and trench specification.

  • Downstream Invert RL and variance from the drawing, if any.

  • Upstream Invert RL and variance from the drawing, if any.

  • Jointing is per the drawing and/or suppliers instructions.

  • Enter the backfill compaction test result. Is it in spec?

  • Detail "Other"

  • Detail appropriate quality checks for "Other" asset.

  • Does the Drainage Asset conform to the drawings and Specification?
