Site Safety Rating

  • Rating Guide
"A" Rating = EXCELLENT - Exhibiting superior management of health and safety; not requiring any significant improvement.

"B" Rating = FULLY ACCEPTABLE - A risk which meets normal acceptance criteria without any significant detracting features.

"C" Rating = DETRACTING FEATURES - Risk which contains some significant detracting features that may be acceptable for low hazard risks, but such features will not normally be acceptable for more hazardous trades or operations. Detracting features should be considered as features that either give a higher than normal potential for a loss or could substantially increase any loss. Loss is defined as personal injury, ill health or damage to plant, machinery and property.

"D" Rating = POOR - A risk that falls below normal acceptable criteria or which cannot be practicably improved to an acceptable standard. Poor risks are not acceptable, and in this instance, consideration must be given to an alternative method and referral to the Hierarchy of Risk Assessment.

"E" Rating = UNACCEPTABLE - A poor health and safety managed risk, or one representing an unacceptably high severe loss exposure which cannot be adequately controlled.
