Fall Protection

  • Is each walking/working surface with an edge which is 6 feet or more above a lower level protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems?

Wiring Methods

  • Are any wiring systems installed in ducts used for vapor removal or in any shaft containing only such ducts?

  • Are stairways having four or more risers or rising more than 30 inches, whichever is less, equipped with: At least one handrail; and One stair rail system along each unprotected side or edge?

  • Are all Stair rails installed after March 15, 1991,at least 36 inches from the upper surface of the stair rail system to the surface of the tread, in line with the face of the riser at the forward edge of the tread?

  • Are all stair rails installed before March 15, 1991, atleast 30 inches or more than 34 inches from the upper surface of the stair-rail system to the surface of the tread, in line with the face of the riser at the forward edge of the tread?

Eye/Face Protection

  • Does the employer ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation?

  • Are all eye and face PPE distinctly marked to facilitate identification of the manufacturer?

  • Do protectors meet all of the following minimum requirements: provide adequate protection against the particular hazards for which they are designed? reasonably comfortable when worn under the designated conditions? fit snugly and shall not unduly interfere with the movements of the wearer?
