Brakes - Does the parking brake work (able to stop PIT in an idle setting)?

Aerial Lifts
Aerial Lifts - General (Complete For All Styles of Aerial Lifts)

Does the AL have an operators manual and a copy of the ANSI standard on the lift?
-
Ensure the AL has a capacity plate and that it is legible.
-
Ensure all warning and caution label/stickers are legible.
-
Ensure that the platform/boom control panel is in good condition with all switches and buttons are legible.
-
Ensure the ground control panel switches and buttons all work properly. Ensure all function controls return to the neutral position.

Conduct a walk around of the AL and ensure there are no leaks present. Ensure all hoses and wiring is in good condition.

Ensure the tires are in good condition.

Inspect the chassis, platform or boom, and structure of the AL is in good condition.
-
Inspect the AL chassis, arms, and platform or boom for cracked welds.
-
Raise, lower, move forward and backwards the AL to ensure it operates correctly.
