  • Definitions: This is a co-tenancy agreement to share this current accommodation. Here, a group of people, known as co-tenants, jointly rent a whole property (i.e. a house or apartment) from the landlord. In a co-tenancy arrangement, each co-tenant jointly holds the rights and obligations that a single tenant would have. (Co-tenant is referred to as "tenant" below.)

Rent

  • Rent payment: The tenant agrees to pay rent on time and to reimburse any fees paid to a bank or other authorised deposit-taking institution as a result of funds of the tenant not being available for rent payment on the due date.

  • Deposit deduction: The tenant agrees that the rent abates if the residential premises are destroyed, or become wholly or partly uninhabitable, otherwise than as a result of a breach of this agreement or the house rules, or
    to pay the cost of a fixture, installed by or on behalf of the tenant, or any renovation, alteration or addition(or removal) to the residential premises, or
    if the tenant ends the tenancy agreement before the end of 14 days of the termination notice.

  • Immediate termination notice: The landlord/Head-tenant can give immediate notice if the premises are destroyed or become wholly or partly unliveable to other tenants.
