General requirements

  • All personnel including supervisors have been trained in accordance to an accreditation Tiltup and precast concrete course

  • Areas within work zone are barricaded to insure only authorized personnel are allowed in the areas.

Panel Construction

  • Shops drawings i.e. drawings signed by a certified engineer

  • Have all structural components in panel been inspected by a competent person prior to casting

  • Safe storage onsite for panels i.e. not leant against temp brace panel

  • JSA for panel construction in place

Setup for erection

  • Crane operator have CCO

  • Riggers and Signalers have training and been verified as required per 1926.1419 - 1422 and 1926.1427

  • Crane operating in safe manner i.e. clear of overhead power lines, setup with barricading, outriggers, etc.

  • Crane and lifting accessories documentation in place i.e. log books, plant risk assessments, mobilisation checklists, lifting register, etc.

  • Safe erection process i.e. fall zones, panel and bracing

  • Interface and traffic management/safety zones in place including appropriate barricades and signage

  • Access and erection area is safe

Post Erection

  • Braces installed as per documentation i.e. locked 2 per panel and where possible located at two thirds of the height of the panel

  • Braces been inspected and supplied with work loading limits, inspection/maintenance certificate

  • Braces are not removed until final written instruction from design engineer has been obtained

  • Panel tied in at footing
