Please note that Section 43 of the Electricity Safety Act 1998 imposes an obligation on the occupier of any premises in which there is unsafe wiring or equipment, to cause that wiring or equipment to be removed or made safe, or to notify the owner of the premises who then has a corresponding obligation. Substantial penalties may apply for failure to comply with the Act.
