Venue Details

  • Is the access for performers (from dressing room to stage) clear and marked (even in the dark)?

  • Is there a clear and designated route for the audience to get in and out of the venue?

  • Is this clearly marked? and clear of trip hazards or blockages? is it well lit?

  • Is the event site clear of trip and slip risks? <br>Checked for unidentified objects? <br>Clear of spills and wet patches? <br>Checked temporary seating for broken seats, armrests etc? <br>Any sharp or protruding edges?

  • Is there Covid signage, QR codes, register & hand sanitizer in place?

  • Is there anything to note about this venue?

  • Any relevant images?

TECHNICAL EQUIPMENT

  • Spot check any electrical equipment bought into the venue - is it tagged and tested?

  • Are cables in walkways covered or taped down? Is cable management tidy?

  • Have road cases, set pieces, props etc been cleared from the venue? or are stored / stacked safely?

  • Have all temporary structures (i.e. stages / backdrops / set pieces) been checked:<br>- stability (sandbags or other weights used where required)<br>- white tape on edges if required<br>- splinters / other issues with surface<br>- handrails where required

INCIDENT / EMERGENCY PROCESSES

  • Is emergency exit signage in place?

  • Are all emergency exit doors unlocked and clear of obstructions?

  • Are all emergency exit paths clear of obstructions?

  • Are fire extinguishers available?

  • Is a first aid kit available?

  • Do you know where the closest AED is?

HOUSEKEEPING

  • Is there free drinking water available?

  • Have the toilets been cleaned/serviced?

  • Have any rubbish bins been put in place and emptied?

STAFF

  • Have festival staff been briefed regarding evacuations and other safety requirements?

  • Where is the muster point?
